New player here,
So, ordinary servers have open PvP meaning that people who started the game recently won't enjoy the aspect of it.
Some will, but the majority won't in my opinion. Old players will always have the upper-hand and if some of them are not really "friendly" they can ruin the experience of new players by farming them until it annoys them and leave the game for good.
As a new player, playing on season server is quite enjoyable, I was hoping to start the new one by playing something else and letting me the time to discover more about the game before going to normal servers.
But by reading messages from this post, I can see that normal servers have real issues ...
Is this really that bad to make PvE oriented servers when people on it can enjoy the game in their way ?
Is that a decision dictated by money only ? For me, I don't think that PvE players won't spend money on the game if they enjoy it.
One of the best things about the season servers is that it helps you catch up and gives you awesome gear with an easier enhancing time to give you the feel for enhancing.
It is sad that seasons are taking a break for awhile, but! You can still enjoy this perspective of the season server with new changes that have been implemented.
As every character can receive Naru Gear and Beginner Stones by simply completing the main quest line, and Naru has a super beefed up enchantment rate,.... You can exchange Naru for Narchillan Family Gear which has stats between Tri Boss and Tri BlackStar thusly facilitating the quicker paced progression in your journey.
Aye, this is great for New Adventureres.... And I can feel the sentiment from the more experienced Adventureres whom also enjoyed the season not just for the rewards but also for the "fresh experience". I too enjoyed seasons from this perspective. But, I have no doubt that the developers are always looking for fun and exciting contents to spread the fun all around and we will most likely see some awesome activities in the future ^_^
The adventure is never over!
Hi everyone ^^
We are taking a break from the Seasons, so there won't be a new one after the Winter Season. However, this does not mean season are gone forever! `(ᵔᵕᵔ͜ )
Meanwhile, new and returnee players will be able to gain benefits from the new Olvia servers (this also includes new gear! ☜(⌒▽⌒)☞).
You have all the details here: https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/News/Detail?groupContentNo=565&countryType=en-US
Have a great day!
Kind regards.
Sounds good to me. This mean I save money by not purchasing a season pass and I can take another 90 days off instead of 31, "Thumbs up".
You just losing your time my friend.People like him is one of the many reasons we want PvE servers. And really dont understand how PvE servers will affect the gameplay of PvPers. But guess what if pearl abyss do that miracle and add PvE servers even those guys will play there.Seasonals was a resurrection for the game though for one main reason. They dont have open PvP.Personaly i dont care of they add new seasonals or not.Just want PvE servers to doing my stuff without those toxic people.
"People like him"
I've NEVER attacked anyone in this game for any reason, ever, not even once have I flagged myself for PvP in order to attack someone.
Pearl abyss must understand that people dont really care about season servers we just want for PvE servers. If they fail to understand this they will lose lot of people including me....
We would just like a place to grind, travel the seas and everything and not get ganked by whoever decided they want to PK us. You can actually see how it was working. All your Season Servers were full alot of the time. Your Channels that didn't have the higher leveled monsters were full most of the time. But your Green dotted servers were not full at any point I saw and only some of the Olivia servers. Therefore if you had a few PVE channels only they would be full all of the time.
I enjoyed the Season Servers for the PVE part of the game and not having to watch my back every time I moved out of a safe area.
Yes, Yes, Yes I know it is a pvp/pve game. I have played it for 5 years, but I will say that I would play more and spend more actual money if I could play on PVE servers only!!!!

Seasonal Servers Saved the game and allowed for the playerbase to grow, now losing such a fun, cyclical aspect of an MMORPG, that has inherintly limited content, this will have the gameplay grow stale again, having people retire, and drop their revenue; which is the only way PA will learn to introduce a new season.

Stop worrying about PvP and looking over yourshoulder then. You lose nothing, someone kills you, change servers and move on. Don't afk-train horses outside of cities and don't push into other peoples grind spots.
The vast majority of players care as much about PvP as you do, you've just conviced yourself everyone is a horrible griefer when the fact is they aren't.
I play 2 weeks after I graduated from season server. 2 times they sunked my ship, 1 time they killed me while I was afk leveling my horse outside of Heidel and one day I could not level my gathering in wild grass in Behr because someone was killing me over and over. Also, optional pve servers does not affect you, unless you are too stupid to understand. Finally all korean pvp sandboxes end up to have limited population of stupid people who drive away all normal players with their attitude, and then these stupid people cry that the game has no population.
Good luck to pearl abyss to get money from 15 years old pvp heroes.
The problem here is that those that have not or rarely had these problems seem to think it never happens.
You lose nothing, so why worry?
Rez up, change servers and continue doing what you were doing.

I few weeks ago me and some friends was grinding at trees for 35 minutes. 2 savages came up to us. Both linked their PEN Blackstar's and told us to leave. We didn't, guesss what I lost 2 JIN Vipers there because they fed us to the trees. So excuse me, if I call BS on you saying you don't loss anything from PvP. I personally lost about 7 hours of progress because 2 savages wanted to be griefers.
Needless to say I instantly uninstalled the game after that.

That could have easily been avoided..
First, stop pulling mobs when someone is close.
Second, stop putting the most expensive crystals on grind gear until you're confident you can deal with other people, the difference is meaningless.
