this needs to be adressed. people play in potato graphic modes looking like 1990 game with several hundreds of fps just because it gives them big advanatage. if i was develoepr i would cry seeing my game butchered like that visually, and id cry even more realizing i have such a serious error in my code that allows people advantage depedning on their frame rate.

 

please, try to fix it.

They don't care about an region or platform this game is on. Simple put they just don't care about anything but making money. Some how they thought of a great idea an named it BDO, but since release this game has seen little to almost no improvement in it core mechanics over the past 5 years. Nearly every update revolves around increasing profit an very rarely actually improves the game experience for it playerbase. As it stands mechanic like FPS=DPS have been issues in the game for years. They know about it tried to fix it but failed an are to lazy to try again.

 

An simple put for all the people saying this isn't an issues that we should just all play on the lowest settings what your response to console players who are locked on remastered settings an can only average 30-60 FPS. FPS depend classes are physically impossible to play competitively on console so why is it that it ok to balance the game for one platform an not the other? This a choose PA made to increase profits for BDO but technical issues like this that they refuse to fix gimp those player's experience thus make playing the game frustrating for them. So for what other reason was BDO brought to the console beside increasing profits (that this company clearly doesn't need since it managed to buy out eve online a 20 year old MMORPG that been going strong for 20 years, an they have enough money to be developing 4 new games at one time.). Simple put zero thought beside "how can we make big moneyz" into porting this game to console an zero thought has gone into fixing the technical issues that console player's experience that PC player don't. Because we can mess with ini. files we can change our graphic to low we can buy better PC parts but console player can't do any of that.

This issue mainly pertains to PVP.  PVE servers would alleviate a lot of this problem.  While some classes may be able to perform better in PVE as well, it's far less of an issue.  Additionally, some classes like Guardian are still PVE masters without the requirement of running massive FPS.

I don't really see any difference when the FPS goes over 100.

All videos only address the space below 100 FPS or below 60 FPS.

Video # 3 "impact of framerate" shows that.

So why now again "several hundred fps" and why the potato mode?

I dont think there is a huge difference from 100 to 200.

There is a massive difference and depending on your class that differance is very noticable. When I use to play Nova I would always duel someone in my guild who also played Nova I run on remastered most of the time cause I can't be bothered to be a try hard and my guildmate would only play with potato runescape level graphics at 300+ FPS. I could almost never beat him because his skills would cast faster and hit harder despite being the same GS with the exact same gem build. He would just overall out perform what I could do with only 60 fps. Perfect example would always be when ever I threw out a grab I'd be in the middle of my grab animation while my guildmate was in the middle of different skill's animation but because of the FPS differance he could finish his skill than throw out his grab and manage to grab me before I could grab him every single time despite me being in mid grab skill animation before he even started his grab skill.

 

An that just Nova a class that only slightly benefits from having a higher FPS. Classes like ninja, warrior, caster are like completely different classes at 300+ FPS compared to 60 FPS. the shit they can do at 300+ FPS is game braking infact. It why every warrior, caster, and ninja you see playing on a compeititive level will only play with potato graphics.

Problem is that 144fps is pretty standard these days and thats also FPS count after which you arent getting any benefits. Difference between playing on 60 and 100fps is noticable but 100 vs 144 isnt and 144+ is just placebo. Another problem is old classes were designed that way. If you look at striker onwards, classes became a bit more "console friendly". Warrior, sorc, zerker, valk, tamer, ninja etc - those classes are cancels heavy compared to new ones and limiting them means either reworking them heavily or taking something off and giving them something back in returm. You cant limit everyone to 60fps for sake of "fair play". Someone with 10 years old notebook shouldnt be able to PVP on same level as someone with 3k worth PC. Same as someone with 100hp car shouldnt be able to win drag race against 400hp. Thats how it basically works in every game (even in FPS shooters). This kind of communism in gaming is not wanted and failed multiple times when developers tried to do that.  Its not esport game. Game is not designed around stylized graphics offering 200+ fps to basically everyone with semi-decent pc. And be sure that developers of this game are developing classes and testing them on quite high end machines (they need them to make this game anyway).

 

Its not like they dont know about the issue, its not like they are ignoring it but fixing it is not as easy as you think. They tried, they failed.  They should bring other classes to potential of older ones having 144fps in mind because thats industry is and will be industry standard.

I agree with the 144 standard thing but  FPS = DPS is why we have so much 1 shotting the values we are doing were never intended damage numbers. The game is locked at 60 by default without using our graphic card settings to modify it. When at 60 the game is 10x more enjoyable. Less 1 shotting more comboing just overall 10x more enjoyable. The servers also desync less because they can keep track of where everyone is at. unlocked FPS was never intended and its still # 1 on my list of what I wish they would fix Already!!!

Well this is really annoying especially when I play striker that has pretty slow animations against warriors. I made trial warrior once to try to learn the champ and jesus...after "clicking" grab the character do It immidiately while striker has the delay. If you have a significant fps gap between 2 players - for me this is impossible to take a fight against warrior 1v1. Each time I see a warrior on SE

I know I have like 30% chance of winning.

You probably play stirker in SE cause you can do more trash per hour with your elbows than that warrior with 200fps and perfect animation cancelling in all of his skills can.....If all of you guys that tagged striker cause its fotm when it comes to grinding spend some time in BA you d probably perform better when it came to 1vs1....Btw i wouldnt complain if i got my ass handed to me in my tagged toon by someone who actually mains a class..... You know what i couldnt care less if they limited fps to 144 if they gave me proper SAs without holes left and right, warrior hasnt even one skill that its animation is fully covered in SA unless he plays with 200fps so the animation is made smaller...

 

They actually tried once to fix this by limiting fps to 60 and they literrally broke the game, it was unplayble, you couldnt even talk to most npcs for some reason and they had to revert it with a hotfix.... Anyone who is still around since then can remember how bad that was....The games engine is build that way probably, i dont think they can do anything about it that doesnt revolve around a total ovehaul of the game's engine, and we know that aint happening...

 

Funniest thing ever though is that all the people that are complaining now over fps and awakening warrior are the same people that asked to gut succesion warrior when it launched, that didnt have such issues cause it wasnt so fps dependant and had minimum animation cancelling, because it was OP at grinding.... By OP it was meant that for the first time after 4 years warrior went from mediocre/bad to top 3 grinder for about a month till the nerf bat hit him so bad that basically almost noone plays it anymore...
