The more I play AoS, the less I want to continue playing BDO

I don't like being a negative person, and I sincerely apologize for it, but I feel like some blunt truth is needed. When I originally typed this post it had much more colorful language. I've never felt so close to quitting this game than I have over the past few days just marathoning AoS as awakening Drakania. I don't care about long grinds, or failing gear upgrades over and over, I can keep pushing through that, and I actually enjoy the long term progression. What I can't keep pushing through is a janky unbalanced desynced mess of a game with some of the worst design decisions I've ever seen implemented in something attempting to masquerade as competitive player vs player. I could sit here and write an essay about why and how everything about this game's PvP is a circus clown show, but why should I waste my time doing that, especially given that there's no guarantee things will ever change? It should be obvious to you Pearl Abyss, you're the ones making the game. Do you even play your own game? I can't imagine how you could and think that this is all acceptable and not literal garbage that belongs in a dumpster. Maybe you do actually play it, but you're just playing as the classes that are blatantly overpowered. That would at least make a bit of sense as to why you think this is all okay, and perhaps why there are other people that do too. Though the flaws with this game's PvP certainly go quite a way beyond just the class balance being a complete joke.

I've spent the past 3 years playing this game pretty heavily, at least by my own standards, and the longer I play AoS the more I feel like I regret it all. What was I thinking, pushing myself so hard to get gear to play PvP that's this bad? I should've spent my time and money on other things. I just wish I could take it all back at this point.

PA logic:

In KR we have 5-20 ping, we don't know what you westerners are complaining about that dsync thing?

We try our best to balance the classes through our data from KR, if you think some classes are outperforming and you cant w8 to jump into the action, there is always the tag system.

I personally dont pvp JUST cuz of dsync and lags of Siege, whats the point of practicing pvp and grinding the gear when you dont even have control over your character and cant enjoy the highest pvp thing in the game?

Like i said many times, BDO is not a pvp game, it has a pvp feature and it works exactly like it sounds.

99% Desync have nothing to do with ping at all, its straight up FPS+ Mouse movement problems+ client side calculation. Korean devs don't know what desync is, because in every test they do its flat  surface on remastered graphics, while majory of EU/NA players play uncap FPS on optimal while spamming spacebar to cancel every animation and mouse movement to alter skill range/character location.

I wont even be surpriced that DP problem is simple because your game doesn't know how much DP target you hit have and its calculating vs some "default" amount of DP and then server "syncing it" but because you have 500 FPS there is no sync happens to a guy with 60 frames, because you already used 5 more skills while he watching yours animation on hes 60 frames.

Also for EU "bad ping" is long gone by now, you can have very good 10-20ms across  europe in major magistal lines (yes in rural is still bad)

Yeah it's not the ping but just bad coding.

I still remember the GM show matches that they literately played in their KR HQ and there was still massive desync on camera. It's not a western only thing, the game is just not very popular in KR and noone cares, especially not about the PvP.

There is no way for me to get even close to 10-20ms even on fiber optic connection. I get 11ms ping to 8.8.8.8, but when I check my latency to BDO it's anywhere between 50 to 100ms.

Things would improve if they would use server in EU for EU players, like most other games do it. But for some reason BDO team/developers/owners don't even want to hear about hosting game on EU servers.

EU servers located in Amsterdam, hosted by microsoft, its easy  to find by  checking where game connecting even with default windows tools.

Google DNS ping is fake, google use local cache servers, they have  physical servers in every counrty - its ping to your ISP/country data center (they do it to save on data transfer and to have better ping).

Wait, what's the problem actually? Desync? Or anything else?

Yeah I see TCP connections from 8883 to 8889 ports connecting to some servers in Amsterdam, but I don't get it why ping to those servers is much higher than to any other servers from other games that I play.

Not exactly expert on this topic, but is it possible that BDO only have some sort of routing proxy server in Amsterdam, and all traffic is then routed to acctuall game server in Korea?
