they need to do away with that lvl 49 bs no char can stay lvl 49 forever

Eh, I have a have a level 49 character I use for lifeskilling. It's nice to be able to horse train wherever and not worry about a player interrupting that. Not everyone wants to run loops in town. Some people's computers can't handle it. I think a better system is just to make it so those characters can't buff or heal pvp capable characters.

I can't agree with you Zeroden.....

Did you know that you can just go to a server called...

Arsha..... a PVP penalty free server.... made for people who cant stop ALT+C'ing....

A deminishing return system is not penalty free. There is still a penalty, and that penalty is not as severe as the current system offers. Going red has severe consequences right now, and the repurcussions are disproportionate to the actions that led you there. Arsha being a pvp server isn't a blanket solution for all problems related to grinding and player conflicts.

Owpvp is also part of the classic channels. You don't solve anything if your answer is to avoid it.

Take the whole picture instead : when plain pk does not work and the other player keeps coming back, one will finally use another method... Like going to Arsha... Or using mob feeding. Using a shitty behavior to counter another shitty behavior, wonderful, right?

No, the answer lies in a good initial system to regulate the use of pk and the consequences for dying. I'm ok for any temporary penalty which prevents a players from using pk too much AND which prevents a player from coming back after a death like nothing happened.

Both actions must be possible, but it must be harder to do, on both sides.

And again, if one chooses BDO because he likes regulated owpvp, Arsha will never be an answer because it is not regulated. That's a different experience, it makes no sense suggesting Arsha in this situation.

You understand what I am saying and phrased it well. Thank you.

By the very virtue of your statement, you allowed a player to kill you 2-3 times when you had no gear so you could maintain the spot, and then say you've never griefed anybody....I know this may be a hot take for you, but what you are describing is Karma bombing. You griefed the guy out of that spot by weaponizing his Karma against him. Nothing stopped either of you from swapping channels, and perhaps Marni realms didn't exist back then. There are tons of open channels for people to grind on, and the cooldowns being 10 minutes now make it far easier to just swap to an alt, find an open rotation, or patiently wait for the person by asking them their intention. "Hey, how much longer?"

There will never be a perfect solution, but removing your ability to Karma grief someone for wanting to grind a rotation is part of a solution that benefits more than just one type of player.

Big news for u too: it's not karma bombing when it's your gear.

Also, I am on a rotation already and a guy ruins my farm. It's his problem and his decision so he assumes the karma neg. My buffs are on and I'm already there, why would HE grief? (cause it's clearly him who griefs)

That's why that karma system exists and no, it doesn't need to be fixed in your advantage.

Having some kind of validation to grind some zones, like for an hour as I said, would simply let people farm in peace. The griefers and toxic players would stop bother players who are quietly grinding then, without disturbing anybody around.

What you're asking for is just to turn a system in YOUR advantage. Not in advantage of all players.

And here is my problem - I grind quietly and griefers come and I lose carma. Why should I lose karma to defend my spot of griefers?

Yes there should be a system to prevend random PK, but also should not be punishing for defending the spot or deal with griefers.

Totally agree. Especially when we are already buffed and we're losing more than the spot then!

In your scenario, one player loses karma to defend his route, and thus potentially billions of crystals due to the stubborness of another player with no gear or regard for other players.

In my scenario, no one loses potentially billions of silver in crystals. If they outgear you, they can outgrind you, and ruin your grind regardless. If they can fight you for it, you move on, find a new route or use the Marni realm. They are not incentivized to mob feed you.

I can't even understand that kind of egoistical behavior.

The stubborness is on the player who kills until he can steal a spot. Can't defend that.

With your scenario, the rich remain rich, the poor remain poor, the strong remain strong and the weak remain weak.

Your scenario is definitely toxic for all those who discover the game and try to grind and go as far as possible.

I'm happy of the actual karma system, especially for players like you. Good karma system! Bravo!

PA: "The Karma system is there to stop the bullying. How about you establish an ettiquette system and try to appeal to the playerbase instead of crying for bad changes."

😂 So well summarized! It's exactly that!
