To add some comments from the global lab changes put forward:

• Stat Changes (both gear caps and base durability)

- Reducing ATK, increasing DR:
From brief experience on T2/T3 this was necessary, will be different opinions on class balancing and again I do think a different approach to capped gear in general needs to be taken to avoid higher gear/alt build abuse to still completely outdo lower gear players. Whether this is a system similar to AoS introduced for capped Node Wars or just a way more detailed revamp/re-balance of every stat, this is still far from ideal but a change that at least makes these wars a bit more approachable.

- Base Durability Increases:

Was a necessary change, especially on capped T2 & T3 wars, to make wars approachable whatsoever as bases were being shredded far too easily. Will need to see performance in wars first to see how this plays out, I'm not sure the durability % increase being identical on every tier will scale appropriately but it's still another change making wars more approchable.

• New Individual Rewards

Exciting to see more rewards for PvP, will just give some bullet +/- for it:

+ More rewards that are worthwhile overall closer in scale with current gear curve needs

+ Rewards not given if not passing participation criteria, sniping does not earn you this which is good

+ Differentation between T1 and T2+ gives a starting point to encourage to move up from T1 after learning node war or gearing up from initial new player gear levels

- Lack of differentiation on T2-T4, there needs to be value up the full range of system to make competing on higher tiers enticing

- Lack of differentiation on number cap sizes (potentially in terms of guild silver rewards), there needs to be recognised value to competing on a node that can involve more players attending (therefore more organisation) and likely distributing payout over more players accordingly as well. This would also reward smaller guilds who compete on larger nodes as rewards would distribute higher per player

• General Conclusion

These are positive changes that show recognition of some of the issues raised in this first week of the new system. It recognises core issues with the squishiness of players and bases in T2/T3 wars especially and begins to start rewarding players for PvP participation, and recognising the need to make higher tiers more rewarding to entice people to progress to them. We will see how it affects the upcoming wars and hopefully makes fights slightly more accessible.

However, the gear caps still need to be looked at and discussed in far more detail to be balanced and not beneficial to higher gear/alt build paths to be accessible to climbing-gear players, as well as realistically removed entirely from T3.
Base durability changes need to be reviewed after seeing performances, a blanket tankiness increase was needed at this point in time but further balancing will be ideal once we see how they are.
The distribution of node war areas to tiers, in terms of the number of available nodes of different tiers/sizes on different days of the week has yet to be addressed, but hopefully this can be looked at further with time and an available space to provide feedback discussion.

Overall it is good to see positive changes and it is good to take them step by step rather than overloading from one extreme to another, but there are still some key basic broad changes that could make the system far more accessible to come yet in my opinion.

^this
i also agree especially in the positive change that they will implement some new rewards.

but still, as u said: the current caps are far away from what the nw-community asked for. the caps are just a slap in the faces of all the ppl who spend effort and time in their gear and beside that it also excludes any kind of dp focused gear and classes (like shai)
there was enough capped content in this game b4, and even if u think there was not - there is no reason and legitimation to "steal" content from ppl who like to play uncapped nw with the gear and builds they put effort in.

Even other forum posts and suggestions are out there regarding this topic, caus its relevant and the current situation ist unwanted by many. so..- PA? hello? pls notice us. ty.

The changes werent enough. Just uncap T3 again, pls! Guilds start breaking apart cause many ppl dont want to play capped Nodewars, but nobody wants to fight Top3 Guilds ever day. Ppl start quitting the PvP Scene or the Game altogether, cause there isn't much to do anymore, if your gear is kinda useless on most pvp content.

Also lowering Ap but not Acc and higher DR but not Evasion is also a joke against all Eva DP players....

Yes please!!!

In short: uncapp t3 or make more t4 nodes for all number requirements. Otherwise you will kill nw/siege-scene for your most loyal player base. And while u add it, uncapp at least one more castle siege aswell. U can make serendia/balenos capped in exchange.

Comments from Ryky's feedback podcast on NW/Siege System changes today:

• General consensus to system

- Better than previous system which was just awful for locking you into regions etc
- Overall reasonable concepts/core system to work with but needs significant changes to drastically improve

• Capped nodes

- Too much capped content, lack of uncapped node availability. Revert T3 to uncapped?
- Possibly AoS style system for capped content?
Would avoid cheese builds abused by higher gear players, give level playing field to all participants and a system that truly lets new players try out the system before hopping on the uncapped version with much higher rewards.
If this sort of approach was taken, would need less capped nodes as don't have to stagger tiers for different gear levels, freeing up for more uncapped nodes with the only factors to separate being reward tier and player number cap.

• Node distribution
- More thought about terrains which are better/worse at different size scales
- Consideration for nodes being locked from guilds owning siege region (eg. owner of Valencia, the currently uncapped siege region, cannot do T3 or T4 nodes on a Thursday, only T2)

- More details on distribution would have to come from discussions off the back of other adjustments to the gear cap, number cap and reward system

• NW Accessibility

- General consensus was that it isn't that hard to gear up to reasonable levels with active gameplay. Catchup mechanics provide well and continue to improve the gearing up process

- A cap system as suggested above would allow early NW access while still motivating to move up to rest of the system later, rather than being detrimental to higher end gameplay

- More uncapped space would also allow for a wider range of guild standards so there would be a place for most players T2-T4

• Siege node availability

- Lack of nodes has made more difficult to obtain siege nodes naturally while still getting reasonable fights during the week

- Adjustments to gear cap system and node distribution may fix this. Would need to see changes to that first before jumping the gun and re-adding more nodes.

- Reduction of pure snipes in sieges has been noticeable and a positive outcome. Possibility of a system where you qualify for siege and rewards based on participation therefore making pure sniping redundant entirely?

• Bugs/issues/servers

- When fighting outside of NW areas, gear stats revert to normal and node caps no longer apply

- Server stability for NW/Siege still very inconsistent and struggles to perform. Siege especially struggles with larger number of players in a concentrated space (anything above 200 in a general area has no chance, so esp for castle sieges)

• Feedback

- Feedback system with a sample of community figures (ie. such as those involved in podcast or leaders of PvP guilds/communities) to discuss feedback based on each patch/change.

- This would allow more direct discussion on each issue with CM/GMs to pass on while streamlining the relevance of commentary (and reducing forum/twitch chat bandwagon clueless backlog)

- Would give the community more of a sense of an involvement and effort with us, even if only through a few individuals, as there would be a clearer sense of the direction that PA would like to take the game down, and how we can help shape it to be more enjoyable for ourselves

- Everyone agreed that persistent and frequent smaller changes, reviewing and tweaking (whether something needs to go bit further or tone it down) over time woudl be a far healthier approach than past approaches where things are left unaddressed for a prolonged period of time followed by a mass system change or longer list of botched fixes.

I might have missed some comments as I did have to grab my food mid-podcast, so others feel free to add further feedback and/or ask me to edit this post.
