Suggestion/Comments: DR gear(bhegs, urugons) should have their damage reduction values substantially increased, and evasion gear(leeburs, muskans) should have their DR values decreased. Not really that complicated. Needless to say this would also apply to any future fallen god variants. Additionally since evasion classes have effectively higher resistances due to just not getting hit, DR gear should give some all resistance increases, like the griffon helmet.

You know that evasion have nothing to do with not getting cc'd? It was changed years ago.

As for your suggestion, it would only cause eva ppl to run these items aswell. Eva players also benefit from DR, so it's not like their DR would not matter, if the tradeoff is good enough then it's better to run a DR item than an item that gives slightly more eva.

Solution to DP? Hm...what can it be? Maybe actually use it in calculation damage ? Oh wait righ, PA hide combat logs so you can't even prove that DP actually used in PVP at all.

Here is my updated opinion why DP/DR doesn't work - Just like everything else in BDO "calcuation function" have small amount of memory alloced to it, as result if you take  way to much hits in same time its getting overflow and take some sort of "default" value for DP/DR, which is not what you have.

Evasion only good, because its uncapped ( 90% cap is a joke) and its easy calculation miss or hit, you don't need to include bilion hidden mods PA hiding.

Saddest part in all this DP/Eva dramma, noone can even prove anything, even PA support can't explain why DP doesn't work.

Also its might be that somewhere in damage formula there is simple mathematical typo, aka * instead of +, but student who made that formula gone long ago.

Could probably also lower the eva values on DR gear enough to not incentivize eva classes to swap to it then. Or just not touch the DR values on eva gear and boost them on DR gear. I'm not saying adjust the DR values so drastically that DR becomes equal. It would still be worse, just not as much of a meme as it is right now

This is why I don’t buy it when PA says, “We don’t want to show damage number in live game because people will 'chase' them...Tosh! So what if they do? No diff than people going for most damage as they are now. But the person that made that statement was trying to pretend they were doing it for you.

 

There have been times where as a 314ap (yeah shai, wait…), I have been attacking opponents with no misses and all de buffs on them, and can’t even beat their pot regen (wish I could see and record real numbers, but hay, PA Hide them exactly for this reason)

Taking off my alch stone and putting it back on mid match normally fixes this. I start dealing damage to opponents I could not before hand … And this had happened / tested 5 times now.

there are catastrophic and game braking issues that they cant address, so they are hidden and the player left to think, ‘was it my gear?’ - aslo why we can’t inspect gear outside of AOS very controlled environment (that has been given attention and tests, but look at that when it came out... same love not given to other special areas, imagine the bugs! -maybe AOS will be used to fix all other areas? Hopium, but till then, we get lies)

 

Been doing my best to track down this error, but it only happened in some areas, Mainly RBF and its probably down to their magical mechanics goofing up. Can be so hard to record a clear example unless I record all the time, and I can’t. (I wanna play the game, some days I spend more time tracking down bugs for PA, than playing the game, Reeee, Employ a team to do it PA)

 

Dosent seem to happen in BA, so cant replicated in a controls zone. (no specially mechanics). Does it happen in NW? who know, things go too fast to check and we have no numbers flashing up to show us.

 

Will PA address this if I manage to catch nice clear recording? No, because they don’t know how to apart from removing their special mechanics, and they will not… Hay, that’s fine PA but don’t lie to our faces and tell us stuff is for our benefit when it’s for yours. We don’t Bye it, WE do get ticked off and people walk away… Lucky you have me that likes to complain or you would think your lies are working and never know  :P Feedback for ya, Use it!

You may want to do a mathematical equation to help prove how broken the code is.  This clearly happens in end game with quick burst skills.  Musa, Lahn, Witch for example.

I think Witch detonative flow is a good example.  With an Elvia weapoon at 300+ AP you can 1 shot mobs with nearly any skill.  However, you will still be 16 shotting mobs with detonate.  If you calculate what should be the damage from so many detonative attacks the math will show it's massively higher than other single skills.

This is a massive issue across the game with many burst skills.  The Guardian charge attack works on trash mobs and is fun to use.  In end game you may as well lock the skill and never use it.  It's essentially just an escape utility for PVP.

New players can't identify many of the problems because these skills appear to work in lower content, but simply fall apart at end game.

These skills are not necessary intended to be spammed and some are debuff/cc.  However, at no point ever should be they become non effective for PVE.


They should be revamped with a higher cool down and much higher damage.  They also need to be investigated into how the damage numbers don't add up vs other skills.
