Can anyone tell me why, even with my setting to 8k for screen shots, sometimes it takes 8K sometimes it doesn’t?

Spent months trying to work out what im doing wrong.

Using a 3080ti, have 32Gb ram,windows 10, computer was original built for rending complicated light maps, it should not have an issue.

-Tried logging in and out (that in its self should not be the solution) But it seem RNG is im going to get the setting I pick.

-Tried closing all other programming incase it’s a ‘set program focus issue’

-Tried all Screen modes

-Tried Tabing programes

-Tried single monitor

-Tried with crop mode off

Treid other things i cant remeber, but if you have a work around? had this issue and know how to fix it? Cus it puts a huge bottle neck in my content plans each time it happens, and feels like RNG as to when i can get on with what was planned. Frustration :(

And when it’s not working, then it may work later on without changing any settings at all… (RNG) or it can be working and then it goes back to screen size and not 8K though setting are 8K (RNG)

This happens in and outside of screenshot mode.

What am I missing? Bug or is it me?

If it’s a bug, anyone know what set it off?

Pressed enter to type, this brought up my text input box, then i hit screen shot and it took 8k when it was not just before that... so this is a bug? related to text input? I hope not. Looking like a UI bug i guess...

This annoys me a lot as well. I hope PA fixes this. 

This has happened to me too, but not that often. Doing screenies in combat stance or sometimes specific poses like leaning the wall may trigger the 8k screenshot upscaling to be suddenly disabled.

What helps me is to leave the current pose, back to neutral animation state and switch in between windowed and fullscreen mode and back (I am usually playing in windowed mode). Now it is annoying like that, I agree. But I am not doing much combat anyways.

I am running Windows 10 21H1 and Nvidia 522.75 driver.

ty, will test sugesttion when i happens again. see what we can work out. maybe we can track down the cuases and get it fixed :)

without fail now, 4/4 , when it stopps Taking 8k, i cast my magnus skill from my mouse hot key and it's fixed... it takes 8k again.

Im not suggesting this as the problems and only workaround, just sharing what im finding out, so we can look for pattens.
