This has nothing to do with "meta". Resistance is a stat that is a crutch for the game developers to not actually fix mechanical issues with their game. Even worse instead of fixing things like grabs they even discriminate between classes to make some ignore one of the "counters" to them.

I kinda wonder how pvp would work with no resistances. I did see a vid with a kd-spam abuse in AoS the other day. Very fun. Arguably a lot more fun to have the vista of an entire army constantly on its buttocks. But wait! I'm thinking that then they should also deal away with all cc's too. Have all classes just trade raw damage and balance for that. 'Cus look! X and Y class can do it. 

Again, removing good mechanics just because multiple iterations of balancing them seem to be unsuccessfull is unhealthy for the game, leaving it poorer. A pity that, even with the AFB, the communication is still... staggered at best and, as such, successfull changes are few and far between.

this suggestion is as old as the game itself. but the devs dont care and the cringe pve community dont want resistance to go. there are no pvp players left in the game. try your luck with some decent mmo releasing this year.

thats a horrible idea. I get it why ppl want to get rid of resist in 1v1 but in any form of large-scale fights its needed cause there are way to many random CCs flying around all over the place. Some classes cant stay 100% protected and cause the first CC is 99% death it would be absolut idiotic to get rid of resistance. Just stack up on ignore resi crystals if you are annoyed by them. 
Resistance is just another DP stat after all.
