Title: Gathering Trade Items need a buff

Trade in general needs a buff. Life skills should be just as profitable as grinding per hour. An hour of effort is an hour of effort.

I log to BDO to have fun, mostly. Effort I do outside of it enough. But I more than agree to your statement, again, mostly. Gearing up for lifeskilling ain't easier than for grinding or pvp. Progressing some of the lifeskilling disciplines is slower and more punishing than leveling up or reaching max SPs... Yet for the most part, the professions seem to always be an afterthought, even if they and the entire beach of activities they entail are what captivated some of us in the first place.
On topic, I wouldn't bother asking for anything trade related. Even if adjusting values for gatherable trade items is pretty darn easy (just as easy as, say, adjusting the guild payouts for inflation). Mostly because I don't want them to do that and then delay the Trading profession rework for another 5 years.
Yea h those items should be deleted. There is no reason for gathering to drop random trade items that are just an annoiance to deal with.

It might be cleaner to just remove them but... I'm personally tired of seeing half-baked content with a good foundation deleted from the game. At this point PA has put so much development time into DoA systems that they then delete a year later, it's really harmful to the identity of the game. Isn't it better for them to put that time into revamping existing systems that have no purpose instead of brand new systems that don't stick?
I think best case scenario for all the random trade drops like this (ancient coins included) would be to repurpose them into a proper loot system with actual profit potential - here's an example. Would take some development time, sure, but a lot of these assets are already in the game. Otherwise OP's solution would certainly be the easiest - just buff their value to be comparable to other existing trade items and then forget about them again.

I wholeheartedly agree! However lame it may look for some, there's value in these things for others. I mean just because something doesn't give the best silver per hour or the biggest epeen isn't reason enough to obliterate it from the game. Not for everyone, at least. I moved away from lifeskilling and other activities because they're just too slow and too much focused around afk. E.g. the training events are just... denying you from actively playing the game, due to their slow progression (paired with abyssmal rewards, yeah, but the former issue is bigger for me).
Bumping my thread after the trade rework. This is from 1hr at pilgrims at 2k mastery and +64% gathering item drop rate. Even after the rework, these aren't even worth keeping and turning in. Sad.

But that's 5M, right there! A small treasure. Think of all the improved pickaxes you can buy with 5M ('cause, I think, the item's value is just as old the the tool I mentioned)!
One has to wonder, though, what would happen if high end grind spots would offer the same amount of rewards. I mean, 2k mastery is akin to capped pve gear. What if Hexe would yield as much silver per hour as Mansha does these days? Wouldn't that be fair?

These items should have been removed from the game a long time ago because they stopped on the day of bdo release.
Or each of such items should be worth 5m.
