Hello,

Since after the patch on wednesday last week, the launcher keeps crashing for me. This is the PA launcher, not Steam. 3 different scenarios keep happening:

1: I fill in my password and 2fa code, the launcher goes black with a loading circle, freezes, the screen flashes (almost like windows explorer quickly restarts... thats not what is happening but it is what it looks like) and then the launcher crashes.

2: Most of the stuff in 1 happens, but then it quickly starts loading EAC and then the game, without having the 5 second countdown to auto-start it, it bypasses that screen. And then the game window crashes, when it is still black screen with border.

3: The launcher does not crash, but after logging in tells me "You do not have permission"; then I hit OK, then START and it starts without further incident.

Scenario 1 tends to happen between 2 and 8 times in a row. It drives me absolutely nuts. I have to open the launcher, fill in my password and 2fa code time and time again and pray to the black spirit that the game will start. Usually after it has happened whatever number of times, it then goes to scenario 3 and I can finally launch it after ignoring the error. Other times it will randomly switch to scenario 2, then back to 1.

I haven't had this much trouble actually starting the game since I have started playing 2016. And with all the character-switch crashes, which seem to be worse again for me lately too, I am encountering this crashing launcher problem a whole lot.

Anyone else with the same issue? Any fix?

I have reinstalled the entire game. This did not help. If this is on my end, I'd like to know how to fix it. If this is on PA's end, I really hope they fix it, even though the server instabilities were allegedly fixed already.

Yeah it's keeps crashing, like the crashing game allone would be not enough, now even the launcher is crashing kek

Not to mention that they made a change few months ago whitch puts the cursor into the e-mail field for no reason after starting the launcher. It's so annoing, why they even waste developer time on stuff that noone asked and gives no improvement at all?

Same happenes to me. I actually have to launch the launcher 2-5 times before it will actually work every time I try to log in.

However my error message is always the same:

PAPatcher has stopped working

It does eventually work but again I have to start it multiple times any time I have closed out the game.

Unlike others my game isn't crashing, just the launcher, so I will count that as a plus.

I have indeed been noticing that too. Sometimes its with slow response, so you've typed half your pw and then it jumps up to the email field.

havent seen that error, but the crashing of the launcher is probably the same. Idk what they are doing lately...

Yeah seems fine for me aswell since last patch.
