On Node Investment Change 2/8/2023

Before:
~40% Drop Rate INCREASE @10% of the time defeating monsters. {{Max Lv.10}} "Time Defeating Monsters" had never been explained by PA.

(( Current 2/8/2023 Patchnote says the OLD investment:  [BEFORE]"10% chance of node investment level benefits being applied upon subduing a monster,
Item Drop Rate increased by 5% x the investment level" ((Untrue)) ))

"New" Investment calculation: Item Drop Rate increased by 0.5% x investment level {{Max lv.20}} :/

And this requires MORE overall energy to obtain while capping @10%...

Changes like this are throughout BDO--disguising nerfs--and indicate this Dev team hardly upgrades anything.  Also, as we become "stronger" as a Playerbase, the very stregth we accumulate becomes diminshed by factors out of our controls.  Pearl Abyss intends to lower the output simultaneously increasing required time in the software for the same, or less, benefit.  There are some decent implementations, most if not all of which, were/are player feedback results.  BDO had great potential and immense time to prove it was "the best" as claimed.  Over the years, as a player from 2016, I've noticed direct programming methods emplored against players' class choices, playstyles, group dynamics and open world decisions rather than cooperating with the community as a whole.  Partial decision making.  At what point will there be no "gaming" left?

How is changing the avarage max drop bonus from 5% to 10% is a nerf for you?

How is changing the avarage max drop bonus from 5% to 10% is a nerf for you?

I think OP wanna say that before we had 10% of getting 50% drop chance, which is not 5%, its 10% for 50% bonus chance. Now we switched to permanent 10% at max level, which is actually nerf. Its a nerf because i do believe that like everything else in BDO, drop chance have a brackets - specific amount of drop chance for drop become droppable, while 10% might not get you to a point where brackets change, 10% for 50% might actually do that

It is a buff because before, you would only get the drop rate buff up to 300%. And in many cases, you would cap out before that. Not to mention that the 50% cannot be controlled, and may end up only applying to "bad" mobs, basically adding another layer of rng on top.
Now the Drop Rate will be on top of the 300% cap, and apply to all mobs equally, without another layer of rng.

As for the drop "brackets" there is no evidence to support that, especially considering that even treasure drops can be received with low drop rate buffs in general. I wouldnt follow that theory unless there is reliable info that this is true.

50% drop chance 10% of the time is an overall increase of 5%, and not 10%. So the update today is a buff in every way.

Given all of the %'s of %'s, and all of the brackets, and caps and such, I feel like the "How to be the Best" manual of this game reads like some gnostic text.  One has to go to BDO University in order to know how to play the game at your best.  It would be nice if the numbers were simple, understandable and all laid out, so that one doesn't have to wonder if they're being secretly screwed by PA.

And at the the end of the day, we should all note that the chance of getting a blue to yellow grade accessory drop is maybe 1 %, and to increase that 1% by 10% is probably 10% of 1%, so 1.1%?  We are all at the mercy of the Black Spirit.

I dunno.  I'll just be content to make my purpose to grind for trash and feel lucky when I get something nice.

And as the title says, I think that is PA's MO, considering how they're reducing everything to the least common denominator in terms of art, music, storytelling, item variety, outfit variety and such.

Even attempting to defend that less is more displays exactly that which has been mentioned in multiple threads here in "Feedback":
We had X>Y >>>> Now we get only Y and have to somehow pay for "X" again.  Without certain items there is no way to even get to the "Bracket"(lol) maximum of "rates".  Another reinforcing point about this topic.  We already had more, now we have less.  It's very easy to understand.  Also; spending ~2x more energy for less affect.  Why arent MAX nodes CONVERTED to MAX nodes?

The max was ~50%.  Where are your calculations derived from?

Bro learn to read. It was 50% but only applied 10% of time, so 5% on avarage.

Ur angry 1st of all so leave that elsewhere.  I asked where you acquired your calculations, because this deduction  makes zero logical sense based on provided data.
~50% 10% of the time = 5%?  It doesnt say anything about you gaining anything outside of the 10% of the time so what is this average?  Please, exhibit intelligence here.  Thanks in advance.
