okay. This is the time that i actually ask. I am playing draknia as my main since her release. Maining Awak - Drakania.

But i actually don't get her role properly.

1) Is she slow?

- She isn't slow in movement speed but her attack speed is just as slow as nova-successsion.

2) How many protected skills does she have?

- In awakening, She has no protected skill but through the use of core skill, she can have 1 protected CC although her pre-awak has 1 protected CC which is stiff but isn't quite useful because she gets very easily grab in it and spamming it makes the enemy aware of it and can punish you dearly.

3) How is her defensive ability?

- She is just as tanky as lahn & hash.

4) How is her playstyle?

- She tries to focus on doing nothing but damage although her skill activation and animations are quit too long & slow. Her movements feels very heavy and her doesn't have much cancels. Skills that can be canceled, can't be canceled fast enough for her to escape from immediate danger. When slowed, many times her skills doesn't activate in time, resulting in stand-by/idle animation.

5) How is her damage?

- Her damage is nearly as same as succession guardian but just a very little bit less then succession guardian.

In BDO every slow class has good defense and proper amount of protected CCs and skills to help fight against fast classes.

Current slow atk speed classes are: Nova Succession, Guardian, Wizard/witch awakening(long animations), Sage succession, Draknia.

Nova Succession: unbreakable shield with SA+FG, Long range grab, annoying pets that CC(stiff) every 2sec and attacks non stop, generous amount of CCs, good damage, demon, Tanky, ranged CC skills.
Guardian: Constant slows (-50% slow debuffs), Shield SA + FG, Lots of protected CCs, grabs, tanky, High-Damage, smooth play-style.
Wizard/witch awak: (Just buff this poor 2 classes porperly), High Damage, Witch: Q block with +20% resistance for 5sec(can be refreshed every 0.5sec), Wizard: grab, semi-mid-Ranged.
Sage Succession: Very High Damage, iframe based class, can get invisible at any given time, Slow debuffs ( < -37%), abit unpredictable, generous amount of protected CCs, (idk much then this; sorry).

Drakania:  sccession | High Damage, self-heal, (Bruh! too slow attack speed.. a sitting duck), Awakening | High Damage, Self-heal, semi-mid ranged :-

- Very-Slow attack speed with long animations.

- Unplayable when slowed below 25%.

- very clunky.

- Long CDs.

- Has almost no protected CC skills (1 protected skill in entire kit which is stiffness in pre-awak but can have 1 more proper CC from her core at long CD).

- gets easily CC'ed or grabbed.

- 2 iframe skills: 1 with 3sec CD & 1 with 7sec CD (Storm maul: instant).

- Has 2 awakening and with recent changes legacy skill keybind was removed which made her even more clunky and very hard.

- Group PVP: Someone needs to watch her back while she do nothing but damage (tries her best).

- As a Dragon-kin & slow attacking class, she should be at least just as tanky as warrior, valk, beserker, nova succ or mystic but she is not. One shotted.

- PA doesn't read her feedback and does something the opposite (well we know PA, it's same with every class expect for PA's loved child Sorc, Striker)

I don't know but I'm getting really tired with how long PA has let this class be complete garbage. I'd genuinely love to know what's up with the two awakening Drakania in the top 100 because I feel like they must be playing a different game than I am. That or they're abusing something like extremely high frame rate, because nothing else really makes sense.

Drakania is absolutely miserable to play in AoS against all the (often meta) classes that are much faster, more mobile, and more protected while also delivering attacks that cover a wider area and/or range than she does. I often feel completely helpless because even my dodges can't keep up with these faster classes and I'm eventually left completely open while they dance around me because I used up my extremely limited movement options and have a laughably low amount of protected skills to even deal with continued pressure after that point. Even when I do get a successful grab or kd, or am trying to follow-up on a team-mate's, I often get blown up while comboing them because almost none of my skills are protected.

Also PLEASE do something about Refraction sharing an input with two heavily unprotected attacks that leave you stationary for a significant amount of time.

I'm just a shai player who has played Drakania for a few months.

I do think she needs some work, I'm not sure what but changes should be thoughtful or they might break her.

Current issues: 
Squishy for a melee

Block/FG weak & no SA

Stamina is a constant problem

Unprotected, second only to shai

Low accuracy compared to other classes'

Weak actove buff skill with abysmal 15s duration. (Abysal Advance)

Advantages:
Burst Mobility
Burst Damage
Burst Healing

If they tweaked some of her disadvantages a little then she might be more reliable but atm she's mostly a gearlet stomping class but not nearly as good as other options such as any meta classes or other assassins/Range options. Still, they hit the nail on the head with making a fun kit.

She was better pre-release in global labs but still needed few QOL buffs but PA instead nerfed her hard on release. For me, the recent changes was a total nerf to drakania.

Drakania
Several changes have been made to Drakania Awakening. First, we have updated her Hexeblood form so that her skills can be used with greater ease and precision. Also, some Dragonblood skills have been revamped to be (and feel) more powerful.
Drakania's Hexeblood skills are focused on repeated strikes, with debuffs activated with each movement. This made it so that you had to find the right skill in order to activate your desired debuff. With this update, we have more clearly distinguished skills with debuffs from skills with block effects to simplify the composition of skill combos.
We have also revamped some Dragonblood skills to feel heftier. Skills such as Dragonblood: Storm Piercer and Dragonblood: Tip of the Scale, which use repeated strikes, have been updated so that all damage is inflicted with a single movement, then linking to the next skill.
Awakening
Refraction            
  • Fixed the issue where the movement distance to the left was shorter than to the right when using Refraction with your trion.            

Legacy            
  • Removed SHIFT + E from the Legacy skill command.           
  • SHIFT + E is now a command for Flow: Obliterate.            
  • Increased all AP increase effects in Dragonblood form from 15 to 25.            
  • Increased all AP increase effects in Hexeblood form from 10 to 20.            
  • Fixed the issue where in certain situations, all AP increase effects would stack.            
 
Doombringer
  • Updated so that even when Doombringer is used from a higher position, there is no falling motion for the duration of the skill.

Dragonblood: Tip of the Scale
  • Dragonblood: Tip of the Scale has had the following updates.            
    • Removed the first attack of the skill, and balanced the dealt damage accordingly.            
    • Movement distance has been increased for when Dragonblood: Tip of the Scale is used after Refraction or Dragonwalk.            
    • Skill activation delay has been reduced,

    • Has been separated from Aerial Burst as a standalone skill.            
      • As such, the skill's effects have been changed.            
    • Since it is now a standalone skill, it can now have skill add-ons applied.            
    • SHIFT + E is now the command key.   

 

Hexeblood: Savage Decree            
  • Fixed awkward animation when using Hexeblood: Savage Decree during Hexeblood: Storm Piercer.

Flow: Core: Extinction            
  • Flow: Core: Extinction has had the following updates.            
    • Changed to a Hexeblood skill.            
      • Hexeblood form will be activated when this skill is used.            
      • Is not activated as a flow skill after Dragonblood: Surrendering Roar            
    • As the skill animation has been changed, so have the skill's effects.            
    • Changed command key to SHIFT + F.            
    • Core: Aerial Burst has been changed to Core: Extinction.            
    • Changed so that the effects of Markthanan's Heart are applied. (Recover 5% of max HP twice, and only up to 50% of max HP.)

  • Flow: Dragon Flight and Flow: Markthanan's Wings have had the following updates.
    • Can no longer be linked with Extinction during the skill.
    • Restriction on flight distance has been removed. Flight distance now depends on Stamina.
    • Stamina is used continuously while flying. When Stamina runs out, landing will be activated automatically.
      • 200 Stamina is used per second while flying.
    • Removed the count limit on left and right evasion maneuvers.
    • Continuous activation has been removed, and the F key is now used to accelerate. Acceleration uses 500 stamina per second.
    • Movement speed decreased for when not accelerating.

Totally unneeded changes to dragon flight.

im probably biased here but i play with some drakania guildmates and its legit giga chad performance from both of these classes specs in all content i do alongside them. if anything drak on both specs could use further tuning down. probably in the self heal department for start.

The only thing she needs is QOL change and giving her a way to deal with slow debuffs. Imagin being slowed below 25% and not being able to do letrally anything. Other slow class are tanky (expect sage but he will stay longer in iframe and stays invisible more often) but drak isn't.

Drak is more clunky now (she was just fine pre-release in beta).

If a main skill is protected then it's flow must also be protected.

Drak got some really cool looking animation and looks like her performance is giga-chad but it's now.

Currently she got way too high damage to buff anything on her. Surely if they also cut her damage by a lot, then buffs are needed in other aspects.

As for tankiness, if you aren't tanky on a drak, then that is a gear issue. I constantly see draks that preforms much above avarage in RBF, so that class is very, very far from weak.
