Fight for equal rights for male classes in BDO

As much as I would love to see the genderlock being removed, it's just not feasible at this point without them also having to rework all the costumes for the classes male counterpart, it's a whole lot of work for potentially very little payoff from their perspective.

Any way to make it happen, such as shifting to body type (male, female, shai) costumes, or implementing new costumes for the counterpart classes, would involve either a significant amount of work, or a potential overall loss in revenue due to costumes being usable by gender and not by class, either way it just wouldnt make sense for them to invest that much solely for western players to be able to play the gender they want on the class they want.

The simple fact is, female classes sell more costumes and other fashion pieces, and thats where BDO makes it's money. It's a shame but it's the reality of a korean game, they're selling sexuality to frustrated korean teens and the games main audience is korean players, they do not care in the slightest about the western player base.

I fully support the "equal rights" standpoint on this though, male classes are so overlooked and frankly underpowered in this game, and I'm around 80% sure that this is intentional at this point, to drive players into the female classes in order to stay competative and sell more costumes that way.

Personally, I'd like to see more classes like Sage, which realistically is the male counterpart to sorceress in terms of style (in my opinion) but doesnt just replicate the base kit plus a new awakening the way musa/maehwa or ninja/kuno do, but is more unique. That said, I'd like to see a male Drakania equivalent using the slayer/shard weapon most of all, mostly because it works lore wise, with the Sherekahns literally drinking the blood of the daughters of markthanan(?) to gain their power (or at least thats my understanding of the lore), so the premise for the class already exists.

tl/dr; removing genderlock would hit their bottom line in one way or another, more new male classes would be better for costume sales and player numbers than just making counterparts for each of the single gender classes

Sorry for the rant, but this is something that annoys me every time I see another female class release, we are up to the fifth consecutive female class now, it's honestly just ridiculous at this point and I don't know why I still come back to this game anymore. I hope this thread keeps going and gets some recognition from PA because eventually they're going to lose chunks of their playerbase due to this, me and my guild have quit this game multiple times, only coming back to check out new classes, and every time we get dissapointed by yet another waifu class.
