I would love PA to improve the fights too. I'd rather fight the awakened world bosses than snore through Vell and Garmoth. That'll also justify improving the rewards too, 'cause really. What rewards do you want for staying dead at Vell for 3 minutes? Or afking Garmoth for 3?

I havent forgotten that the CM is bad in general 😭
The major difference that I see between the two is that we can consistently acquire fruit of enchantment through different means. I ran out a few months ago and Im back up to 2k through casually breeding fire flake flower(mysterious seeds are amazing)
So I think these are two very different things. One is an item that we can acquire, but farming sucks and the CM price caps discourage anyone from growing them for profit.
With Garmoth Hearts there is no other acquisition method past the one time quest and excessively low rng. I didnt post the screenshots of the CM because I have an issue with the CM(though I do) but instead because they show a continuously growing shortage of hearts in the game.
A player can go their entire bdo life without having a garmoth heart drop, and with the buildup of preorders that is becoming a very real possibility for buying one as well. Thats a bad position for power progression to be in a compelled pvp game.
also Im 50% more bitter because Shai cant copy their awakening weapon garmoth heart so we need 3 😬😂

Take a page out of the LotML boss fights (or Atoraxxion for that matter) and give the bosses a face lift, for both difficulty types. And while at it, peak into the rewards too, as then it would make a lot less sense to risk life and limb for 1 cron or 100 coral pieces.
Sadly, I don't see that happening (the nightmare bosses' drops are beyond unbelievably inconsistent and even if the mechanics are reworked, PA's stinginess is legendary at this point, when it comes to in-game rewards and not random handouts). And because of that, I can't really support the idea of getting the 2 coveted items as easy as a Kzarka Weapon Box.
What I could see them doing, maybe, is have another item drop from Garmoth and/or Vell, with a slightly higher chance than both Garmy's and Vell's uniques, that would set you on some quest chains similar to the original one (for Garmy and some other flavour of frustration for Vell). Maybe have them available once. Maybe make'em season exclusive akin to Fughar's gifts... Something more lively than just moving the comma one step to the right for the drop chance.

You have to admit though, that the only exciting thing at Vell is the submarine mode. Or, to put it bluntly, for the Terrof of the Seas that Vell acts as, she's nothing special. At all. And who knows, maybe they will make her a worthy foe when they bring the much needed and long overdue sea content revamp. Soon™, I'm sure! /s

Something like this would be the best solution. Most players have two garmoth hearts, sometimes three if they want to have it on awak and both kutum and nouver. So it would put a lot of extra hearts on the market. It's the best solution imo.
Just thought Id update this so we have accurate numbers when I bump at the next drop event
our two weeks of double drop event is over and to nobody's surprise it didnt help at all, the number of preorders raised insignificantly so is basically the same
Which is exactly as predicted. As I pointed out in the updated OP,
When you consider the amount of hearts that sell a month and the amount the preorders raise a month, it
would take permanent double drop rate to simply keep up with new demand without even addressing the huge mass of preorders
A random thought I had the other day
For many seasons PA rewarded 15 scrolls to everyone(who did season) that could be exchanged for a chest that could contain a Garmoth heart. 30 for those who bought black spirit pass.
But for some reason as preorders racked up PA considered it to be a good idea to do away with those items and actually reduce the supply of hearts :|
one sad reality is many players are leaving BDO or stop chashing after garmoth.
5mins of grind > garmoth, cause u earn more goods grinding 5mins compared going to garmoth. I rarely even go for garmoth this days, i go only if i am braindosing in BA after a grind.
