Hello GM's,

I know you don't get much time to get involved in the fourms and listen to the voices if the community. The time it takes to balance and polish the game is tremendous and I am grateful for all the hard work that takes place every month. 

I see in the foundry resources that the global lab will have a few changes and additions to the line of instruments available to shai and her composition content. However, as a shai main myself I cannot smile when I learn my new developments like these because I am unhappy with the shai's combat system.

Shai is in a bad place when it comes to combat...

this is an issue that needs to be solved...

if you need any inspiration on what and how to take shai from being an incomplete beta mess to something that resembles a decent set of combat abilities, refer to the class discussion whereas a player by the name Phelsong has made an astronomical contribution to the idea. I will not give up on this. I will not surrender. I will not let this embarrasment continue. 

Shai was never designed to be a character for combat. It's for lifeskill and (maybe) PvE. As far as I know in PvP she can't do much, but her supportive skills are quite nice.

The problem isn't shai, it's that witches and wizards can take the role of support.

what we need is to remove the support abilities of witches and wizards.

with new instruments coming out every month for shai, that's the direction we are going with, the class is also not bad for PvE at high-end spots neither, the only thing she lacks is PVP dmg, which is fine for a support role.

True or not, we're asking them to change that. It was a stupid idea that's not working. She's at best 'OK' at lifeskilling and meh at PvE.

Honestly it's the other way around. She's okay to great in pve and other than the initial level skips and weight, she's mediocre for lifeskilling due to her lack of movement

Shai is a game changer of utility in high-scale pvp and a MUST have in party grind spot.

Shai is far from a bad spot. She is perfect at a specific role. and a class. it is a role.

As far as I remember, the class starts already with more advanced lifeskill progress(I don't remember which level. Perhaps Skilled 1, but I am not sure. I deleted my own several months ago). And it's more of a support class. In 1v1 shai is said to be the weakest of all classes in the game. In PvE she's fine. Support is the role in which she shines so hands down to that and that's why she finds use in large-scale pvp.
