the only wish i have for shai is if it could get Succession skills

As a main Shai myself the only change id like to see is a "succesion" that focusses on purely talent, increasing support.

Anything thats added to boost "combat performance" would go against the whole point of Shai, and i would expect no less then to receive reroll items.

You didnt pick a support/pve/lifeskill class to suddenly have it remade into a pvp class, thats on a whole other lvl as nerfing/buffing a class.

I'd like to see a bit of a PvE buff to her grinding.  I've got a guardian tagged, and the damage difference between the 2 at my current level and gear is quite noticable.

PvP my only complaint is the witch/wizard support.  Either buff ours, or take some away from them.  We are a dedicated support class, we should be doing the majority of the support in group content.  Although they may already be fixing that with the above-mentioned instrument changes.

I knew what I was getting into when I swapped to main Shai, so I'm not completely disappointed in her, and I enjoy playing her a lot.  I just would like a few tweaks/improvements to her grinding.

Shai succession, more PvP damage, gives up all the Support skills, noice.

OK, I see that the people who are objecting to this kind of enrichment to BDO are not shai users.

You do remember the devs saying that they would stop nerfing, and instead bring all other classes up to the new high power delta that the top classes are on? well they are draggin their feet with this promise. 

Also, the changes I want to see are inside the Phelsong thread on shai improvements. The largest thorn in her side is that she has very few attacks, and moves like a broken squeegee on a hot summer. 

Giving Shai -10 seconds on their healing and buffing cooldowns would be appreciated greatly.

Also, they could be given abilities like to those in Dark Age of Camelot's support roles that can be pulsed or twisted. It would give the class more variety and utility while also not penalizing it as it currently is by suffering infinitely from knockdowns. I don't just mean that the class gets knocked down too much (which it does until geared well), but that when it dodges or is interrupted the fight is over before it can cast that ability again basically leaving the class in a void with nothing to do.

Not everything has to be about doing damage Pearl. 

Also, make donkeys worth having and upgrading.

i m a pve content player ... if i was looking into the shai as my new main i would like to see some buffs added to her PVE grind ability and i know shes a support character - comparing with Prime ability's of other characters i feel like shai wil never get any better in the long run.

i checked and asked in the shai discord for pve grind and i get the impression people say shes better for Lifeskiling or situational ocations. i know i m not familiar with a shai but thats my view on it. but wanting to see Prime Skills on a shai is kinda the only thing i feel like the shai is missing atm

I played Shai up to level 62.7 and mained it for about 4-5 months.  100% Agree with the original poster, and theme of this thread.

As one who did all high end content with Shai I can elaborate on some truths about the class..

Node Wars:

Shai is good to buff attack speed in node wars and give berserkers BSR for Shift Q, if they have a chance to do a third song without getting interrupted, then they also do a nice debuff with the fire drums. - Thats it.

Witch and Wizard provide much more damage while providing faster, better healing. 

Shai has very limited attack range, which is its biggest issue doing damage, the best moves are a 100 degree small frontal cone at best.

Shai only has 1 CC which requires you to be very close to the other person and also does not have alot of attacks that combo off it well

If you have berserkers in Node Wars Shai is OP, if you dont its sorta a waste of time, bring a wiz/witch instead.

For node wars, you need DP meme gear. Compared to AP gear its very inexpensive but unless you have another character with at least 281K its a waste of money for progression.

High End PVE:

Shai is good at Oluns only. 

Elvia - even at 289AP I pulled around 2k less trash per hour then the rest of my guildies, it was the main reason i rolled off Shai.

Mid Tier PVE:

This is where a decent geared Shai can shine on PVE if your around 269k you can easily do Aakmans Hystria Thornwood with drum spams and its easy game. 

*note* your silver per hour is pretty slow anyways compared to most classes.

1v1

Shai is a evasion meme machine. Sure you can get your DP set on and lol at people who try to kill you. But you will never kill them either so it is sort of a waste of time... unless you like trolling people.

Overall Combat

Shai needs 2 high end gearsets to really get maximum potential.

If your a very lucky player and manage to get like 301k on your Shai, as well as have a DP set that gets you over 450 dp you can swap, Shai becomes a viable option but this really is only a viable option for people who have been playing the game a long time.

Lifeskilling

Dont believe the hype, Alchemy Pro 1 and Gathering Pro 1 are extremely easy to get, both can be attained in a day or 2 of dedicated lifeskilling.  The WT bonuses are nice, but the actual movement speed is too slow to compete with other mega fast lifeskillers such as Valks in terms of silver per hour gathering. If you never purchase WT with pearls, Shai is the best at Lifeskilling due to free WT, but if you do then really there is no benefit to Shai to lifekskill.

Bottom line Shai isnt a very competitive class in anything really.. sure with DP build you can meme people but you also cant beat them either. 

Best use of shai is to run them out to pilgrims in the desert for rough stone guild missions.

This is coming from a guy who played it extensively in all tiers of content in the game.

The class is really really weak.
