Suggestion/Comments: HP and all special attack damage (crit, back attack, etc) should be capped at reasonable (or even BASE) levels for T2 and T3 wars. 

It's annoying to devise and maintain a separate build for T2, T3, T4. 

It's annoying to tell a new player "you can have fun in capped node war... but only this part is capped not that part, and you need to get these earrings, not the ones you normally wear, and also some players have 2000 more HP than you even though it says it's gear-capped it's actually not. But it is still fun I promise!" It is strange that, in what should be a "capped" T2 node war, the guy with 1 trillion silver of gear dramatically outperforms the guy who "meets the caps." Why not just truly cap this? Why not just make it an even playing field, a fair match? 

If you're going to cap the stats of a war... just cap them properly & fairly, please. As a guy with big gear, I can already use my gear in RBF, T4, and open world. When I go into a T2 or a T3, I don't need to have an extra several thousand HP over the people who, "on paper" meet the requirements for this war. I don't need to have an extra 30% down attack damage over them. Let the caps actually be true caps. Let the limits actually limit players. 

The workarounds to sidestep the caps and focus on "uncapped" stats like down attack damage and HP... doesn't make me feel wise to make a build a special "capped" build like this. It just makes the whole capped node war feel wrong, instead.   
  
The various workarounds to the T2 and T3 caps like HP-stacking and special attack damage stacking just give ammo to the critics who argue the game is still unfair and pay2win and whatever else. And it's annoying, besides. I don't know anyone who actually enjoys creating their min-maxed specialty build for capped content; but I know plenty of people who feel like it defeats the purpose of capped content and it leaves an unpleasant feeling.

I am sure that the current system of node war caps, that are "halfway capped," give more negative feelings than positive feelings. A newer player will feel betrayed and misinformed, when they think they are prepared for "capped node war" and then realize that their enemy STILL does 50% more damage per hit and still has 50% more HP than they do. How demoralizing, how frustrating. What is the purpose? 

Maybe even just make the capped node wars use the Arena of Solare gear/crystal system instead of a cap system, if it's too hard to get it right. I don't know the answer. I just think its gross that what is intended to be capped content, can be so easily sidestepped by geared players who can meet the caps and stack HP & uncapped bonuses and still have tremendous advantages.

Yeah or they could just delete those items they exploit the caps with, the kaila necklance and the chimera earrings, why they even exits in the first place.

I would fully support deleting Kaia Necklace and Chimeara Earrings from the game. However, that still won't change how a person meeting every listed stat cap in a T3 war may still have several thousand less HP than someone else playing the same class in the same war. I would say it is a step in the right direction but it is not necessarily the entire solution.

almost as if they should give out equalized gear set for each caped tier for each class without which u get teleported out of nw/siege zone... and almsot as if they should remove all consumables except normal potions for that content as well.

i know, silly me, with such revolutionary unheard solutions.

honestly i feel more unfair on capped content vs undergeared people than when overgearing people on uncapped often. you can legit tell who lacks garmoth, caphras, modifiers etc.

And I was thinking, if HP caps affect different classes differently such as berserker supposed to have high HP and for example ranger supposed to have low HP... it probably wouldn't be impossible to leave "HP from class" unlimited but calculate & implement an HP cap specifically for "additional hp from gear & consumables."

This.

Or in other words, make capped NW gearing use a similar gearing scheme that Arena of Solare uses.  That way, even a bit of build diversity can be accomodated, adding depth to strategizing.  I know Shais usually like running defensive builds, but can't with how current caps are (lazily, IMO) implemented.

Yes, I would be fine with implementing "set gear" for node wars, like you describe.

 

The core problem I have, is I hate how caps are half-baked, and able to be circumvented, and worked around, and only partially capped, and players can still outgear the cap and sneak in advantages that defy the spirit and intent of the caps. 

Any solution that resolves this, and makes the caps actually be the caps, without exception, with simplicity - I love it and support it.

And that's why in good mmo games in pvp modes everyone has the same items.

In bdo even in solar arena, which was supposed to be fair, it turned out that you can create huge disparities with items, and in addition, colossal disparities between classes revealed.
