Agreed on all issues and most of the proposed solutions. Fixing the above issues, regardless of whether it's with the exact solutions that are proposed or some other implementations, is key to the health of the PVP scene.
While I can't comment on the pre-edited post, lag is a clear issue in Siege that ruins the experience for the majority of players attending. Everyone suffers. If you've pvp'd at war or siege in the past year you must have noticed the massive increase in the amount and frequency of elixirs used. And with this increase, lag has also gotten significantly worse. While it may not be the elixirs no one is claiming this is the definitive solution. It may be a lack of critical thinking but It is easy to see how some players have come to this conclusion.
It's still an assumption based on apparently minimal testing with very little evidence shared. Similarly, the rest of his post is citing "the PvP community" for his opinions on the other topics rather than himself. Who is this "PvP community"? His guild? His circle of friends?
Which brings me to why I don't agree with this post: Most of his solutions are very poorly thought out. Take his PvP reward tiers for RBF or Solare. Having such large rewards for losing further incentivizes people being AFK to claim the free loss rewards. It doesn't take a leap to realize that's what his solution will do. That doesn't mean I don't agree with the spirit of the thought that PvP needs to feel rewarding, far from it. But putting more silver into it isn't the answer.
For the "Elixirs & Buffs" adding lag to servers. You can test it but hitting large groups of players in other areas of the game while having a low amount of buffs vs having a high amount of buffs. You can especially see this from Dmg Nullify / HP on hit / etc. I do think buildings may also come into account for lag but thats not something we can really test or prove.
That only causes lag for you, not for others. Stop using those elixirs if your PC can't handle it bruh...

You say this with such confidence, where is your testing? You've provided 0 counter-evidence and just try to discredit with nothing. Pretty ironic.
good post

You know they don't mean FPS lag but server lag yes?
If over a 5-800+ players in 1 server during a siege all use an elixir rotation, that's literally thousands upon thousands of elixirs going out modifying stats almost on the fly. If the servers can't handle it, then they need to rent more blades/racks from Microsoft and increase server allocation for those war channels. It's simple as that.
Would prefer if they change one siege to be t2 caps instead of t2 caps to be siege. We enjoy our more rat-viable mobility focussed caps on t2. Siege is just a valk stack check (EU).

Elixirs don't "modify stats on the fly". There is literately hundreds of other abilities and buffs that modify stats just like them, it's irrelevant in this sense.
And the second part don't work this simply either. You can't just put more "racks" (lol) in it to make it better.

Kinda wrong everytime someones fairy uses miraculous cheer for pots and then uses continous care (elixirs) the server has to process all these actions, now if everyone had V of continous care with 20 food buffs/elixirs and perfume this adds up very fast. Then you add in damage calculations + people moving around , you're just ddosing your own server. What PA needs to do is make it where these elixirs can be merged (For a cost) to make less processing needed on the server side, there is other issues that are causing server lag but this is a possibility elixirs have exaggerated the issue since capped content exist people have started min maxing.
The other issue is afk fishing players should really be moved to a seperate server or have siege an nodewars have a instance(this would stop some guilds using robe in velia to find cannons)
Edit: Also it isnt our hardware, i have 5900x with 3600mhz cl14 32GB kit and a 7900xtx , frame rate is a stable 200fps + in siege , im still having the lag from the server.
Some of the numbers would need to be adjusted in my opinion. However overall I do think it is a good step in the right direction.
