I agree with what Sadalsuud said about not separating PvE and PvP to a large degree.  Allowing strictly PvP activities via RBF and AoS to make around the same amount of silver as OWPvE grinding may be the final nail in the coffin for BDO's OWPvX core.

I do also agree with you (OP) though.  That the game has shifted to such a degree over the years that OWPvP has seen a drastic degradation due to all the PvE-only mechanics introduced that you mentioned.  GvG, to me, is the most fun and meaningful content in the game.  It allows players to bond with their guildmates, create alliances and rivalries with other guilds, and the fruits of one's grind and class mastery really show in a OWGvG setting.  Not to mention that -- while META classes do exist -- I feel that BDO's class balancing is best suited for medium-scale GvG fights (10v10 - 20v20 ish).  All classes has a place to shine in this type of PvP scenario.  And it's a shame that GvG -- at least anecdoatally speaking -- has seen a massive downward trend.  GvG is almost like a rarity these days.  I do not actively play as much as I used to due to IRL, but man -- when there's a GvG, it's like a rare treat when GvG used to be popping off at almost all hours of the day.  IDK, it just seems different.  Everyone seems so disconnected, at least for guilds who aren't in one of the top 5 siege guilds.

Just wanted to say that I hope OWPvP can be revitalized somehow.  With the new additions and game direction being hyper-PvE-focused, I hope BDO's open world can reattain some of its PvX glory it had back in the Mediah / Valencia days.  Some of my most fond memories in BDO during that era.

I LOVE OWPVP as well, my next post will be going over a revitalization of OWPVP while keeping these PvE players into account as it seems PA doesnt want to have them forced into unconsentual PvP. I think you can have an active OWPVP scene without grieing people in PvE & while having money for PvP. I wanna keep topics focused on 1 issue at a time as much as possible. The state of this game balance wise is the worst i've ever seen in 5 years, and PA is so inept to fixing things. Talking about a new class before they even finish the other 2 completely unnecessary classes.

omg my post about pvp got me banned, its saying inapropriate post. wow so now even talking about pvp is a crime?

If they ever did this I would never touch pve again unless they added more grindeable costumes :D
