I am very unhappy with the terrible fiasco that is the bdo devs idea of an improvement (ROFL). I have put in a ticket explaining how it affects me and I ask that everyone else who finds this update to trading to be unacceptable to also put in a ticket. Moaning on the forum will achieve nothing but if they are overwhelmed with tickets perhaps they  will reverse these unimaginably horrible changes.

They really need to just take the L and roll back the whole update. Go back to the drawing board and reassess their priorities. I literally feel ashamed for being excited for this update. I feel like a fool, like I've been duped. I've dumped real money into trading over the years and I was ready to do so again, SO GLAD that I didn't.

No pearls until this game starts moving in a better direction. Listen to your players, PA. We're literally begging.

Ive never done real trading myself, its been in a bad spot since before I played. I was a bit excited for the rework to make trading more viable to break up the monotony but sadly so far it seems to be another dead content release from PA :/

This meme works so well for 75% of the updates they've been afflicting us with this past year and a half.

I can't believe I was actually hyped for this update. I thought, oh they are revamping a dead life skill, I guess they are gonna make big changes and it will be among the best moneymaker life skills since even the best moneymaker life skills are pretty bad compared to grinding. This makes no sense when you consider the crowdedness of popular grind spots and players who want to focus more on life skilling instead of grinding. No one, literally no one expects life skills to be more profitable than grinding, hell most don't even expect it to be close. They just expect it to be worth their while. I love almost all life skills and enjoy all of them to varying degrees but most of the time after my life skill effort is done and I get my silver reward, I question what I am doing and why I am doing it. Especially right after my daily Agris burn after centaurs. Does BDO aim to make life skills more unrewarding and boring until the point where they can just remove the system and make it a grind mobs-only game or something? I am truly disappointed with this whole trade update fiasco. BDO needs to take certain steps in not only trade but all life skills before losing more and more life-skill-focused players. Why update a dead content to make it dead only a little differently? What is even the point?

TL;DR: Very disappointed with the update. The current situation of life skills is pretty bad. Need proper updates before more life-skill players quit.

The whole active trading thing seems pointless.

The afk money crates, though - if I correctly understand (and I'm not sure I do) means I can make crates in grana to sell in valencia, but now *also* make crates in (e.g.) valencia to sell in grana. This is a significant buff if correct, but I'm honestly not sure given the vitriol around the removal of the desert trade buff, whether it is.

Honestly it's a significant buff if you can just make, move, and sell money crates anywhere and just need to ship them sufficient distance to make a profit based on the MP cap for raw mats. It opens up making crates anywhere around the edge of the map, and transporting them (with the afk wagon) the furthest distance.

I mean, I say 'significant' in that you can take something that's largely a waste of time compared to grinding, and make it slightly less of a waste of time, but still. Quadrupling rather than doubling crate value would not have been excessive.

But yeah, the active thing is an epic waste of time. This needed way higher caps and profit margins to be relevant.

My problem is not with the supposedly more engaging rumour system, nor is it with the silver per hour. My problem is with the removal of the old trade managers ability to buy fish, coins from the oquilla chests that spawn in the Oquilla events, margoria lost treasures and the junk trade items that drop from gathering. I am a sailor and barterer and rarely go to any of the big cities and as I cannot sell them at Illya I have now stopped all fishing, never stop for the lost luggage and never participate in the Oquilla events.

The game devs that wrote this particular ridiculous trade change obviously do not play the game and obviously forgot about the incidental trader.

What I would like to see to address this problem is the return of many of the remote trade managers as sub-agents that can buy these items but have no trade goods for purchase.
