There are a few minor inconveniences that are present and can discourage new players.

I'll give some examples.

My primary reason i enjoy this game is playing a Warrior, the class itself and its mechanics as a casual who seeks out his next progression goal and goes for it.

Sometimes the freedom to choose what to do for your progression is one of the best aspects of Black Desert Online which might involve even lifeskills.

Everything has a reason and all paths lead to progression sometimes its gaining x stat sometimes x amount of items sometimes x amount silver.

No matter what it has to be rewarding not the opposite. Sometimes its not.

I decided at some point to start Bartali Log Books. It was a fun experience up to the third book discovered some areas learned some hunting mechanics progressed some lifeskills fought some things and it was good. 3 hours passed and gave me a nice RPG experience i enjoyed.

That was until i had to find Crystallized Blood for the log. I killed dozens of Ogres changed channels multiple times 2 hours passed and it never dropped.

Thats where i thought ''its too late i have to log out'' and the whole experience was ruined because i just wasted 2 hours pointlessly and non productive for a Log entry which is pretty much a ''Starter requirement'' for basic progression without it being rewarding.

This for example was a failure and ruins the RPG experience.

There are other things such as the Crate system mining and crafting which is a very enjoyable aspect of BDO however its not rewarding. You cant focus on being a Miner/ Metalworker/ Trader for example and know it will be a 100mil silver worth of income at some point daily. It should be less then actual grind and maybe the 100mil number is big since income has a way of coming faster especially if you have stacked the materials one day processed the next day and sell the other day so that 100mil may be much more but i am just giving a raw example right now.

I believe it could be at least as rewarding as a primary Cook lifeskiller or even fishing. Especially Fishing seems to be the most profitable yet the easiest way and i never understood why.

Now in regards  to PvP i feel like alot of Class Skills in this game already have the foundations to give a real E-Sports experience but they are just locked.

There are varieties of Knockbacks and mechanics from a Tactical perspective that are capable to make the exchange of attacks on 1vs1 smarter and reward skill in a way that Gear bis the base itself but the Reaction Knowledge and Abilitiy of the player becomes the extension which surpasses GS.

Currently this is only limited to Grab and One Shot First not time the appropriate Counterattack or avoid x Stun or manage to get a CC on the enemy when he is vulnerable.

This is because most of the good mechanics of classes have ''PvE Only'' checkmark and do not work in PvP.

I believe this needs to be adressed even if its alot of work to balance it out between classes and therefore increase the Skill Curve.

Then PvP in BDO will become interesting and worthy of E-Sports level.

Now in regards to PvE i am all in for smarter AI and encounters while decreasing the huge number of mobs but i guess thats easier said then done on an already released title.

I have to ask: were you drawing blood from the ogres with a fluid collector?

Also, any particular reason you chose Ogres and not one of the other mobs you can draw blood from?  Were you hoping for a Soilde Ogre Ring as well?

Not a PvP player, but I feel the sentiment about E-Sports is that no one is really looking for that type of experience in this game. The complexity attracts most people, and E-Sports games seem like they have a lower time barrier to enter and be competitive. This is a sandbox MMO, PvP is one aspect of it.

Again, not a PvP player, but I don't feel they will ever achieve any PvP balance in this game, while also trying to balance PvE. There's too many other things for them to focus on, too many classes, and the game suffers from desync due to the speed of combat/lag/FPS. It is what it is, we all hate it, and we all love it and hope for the best.

I lifeskill primarily, with a bit of PvE. Wood/Ore Crate trading can be profitable, but it's more of a side income rather than something you can focus on. I do agree, I wish there as an option for it to be a bit more interactive, rather than having a worker empire doing most of the work for you, for additional profit.

For your last point about smarter AI, we are getting a new "Boss Rush" system with an upcoming expansion, which seems like what you are looking for. Check out some of the Korean Twitch streamers if you are interested in watching it, or you can read up about it. Varying difficulties, no running in circles killing 1000's of mobs an hour.

I get it. People prefer static repetitive fights with no challenge as well as hunting meta to get bis gear even if they wont use it for lets say Bloody Monastery/ Crypt of Resting thoughts etc. then just trade attacks and win due to stats without much thinking.

If its enjoyable to grind non challenging mobs with the same rotation for hours with 3 monitors so be it.

Everyone has his preferences and although my view is different i respect that and i dont judge anyone.

However PvP in BDO is dying...

It can still be saved. Maybe my feedback will be useful or it wont. It doesnt matter i am leaving it here for whichever good it'll do.

In any case i play this game different so i get my enjoyment in a different way so it doesn't really affect me.
