With its unparalleled combat system, a class for every kind of player, a gorgeous open world, a comprehensive life skill system and unrivaled character creation. Black Desert Online, In my opinion, is on the cusp of becoming the greatest MMO in gaming history. 

The Arena of Solare update was a tremendous success, it allowed any level 60 to sign up for the MOBA-like portion of the game and have a good time.  The last several months/years have seen significant improvements to the overall quality of life.  


However, one of the missing components to make this game near perfect  (leaving class balance on the shelf) is a path for PVPers to earn silver while doing what they love.  It will be critical if Pearl Abyss wishes to retain its current base and attract newer players consistently. 

 

SUGGESTION:
A new 60 player red battle field, that uses the Arena Of Solare gear, with silver rewards comparable to a very low end grind. 

The General Idea:

Some gamers are simply uninterested in defeating monsters or life skilling. From personal experience, it's a big reason why I can't convince some friends to play BDO regularly. They might join for AOS, then leave after the season is over. 


Opening a second version of red battlefield (alongside normal RBF)  with the same equipment we used in AOS would be the ideal solution! In a fairer environment, they can make some money whilst having a blast.    

This will have no effect on ordinary RBF. Even during peak hours, there are typically less than 60 players using it in all of North America. 


Teaming Up:
Allowing for teams of up to 5 players to join this equalized 60 person RBF,  will also fill a team-play void. Almost everyone I've spoken to desperately wants to sign up for pvp with their friends.

Perfect filler in between AOS Seasons:
This hypothetical equalized RBF would not have seasons, it would be best to just be a regular part of the game. 

Ranking:
No need for ranking in this mode , It would be for fun and for silver.

Rewards:
There are thousands of people who spend their entire evening signing up for AOS matches.  If a reward system is implemented (a set amount of silver per match, with a decent minimum payout and a potential to earn bonuses for how much you contributed to your team ) it would make people feel like they're not wasting time on something that they love but halts their progression in the main game.

How much?
With 60 player games, it's usually a set 20 min match:
Minimum: 50 Million a game , with bonuses up to 100 million total
Maximum: If you are having 3 perfect games, It's up to 300 Million per hour Max.

Example end of match splash screen: (kills are most damage done, assists is partial damage done)

Every bonus would be worth 500,000 silver up to 100 bonuses totalling a potential extra 50,000,000.  

These proposed RBF payouts would obviously be nowhere near the silver of a normal PVE hour, but would still be impactful to pure PvPers.
It also would not compel everyone to leave grind zones for this RBF mode because it is simply not efficient or as rewarding as PVE.
The quality of players in these matches will also be elevated rather than people simply going through the motions to finish quests (ei: the quest for AOS had people sign up for matches even if they didn't enjoy it just to get the rewards, which annoyed the pvpers who were trying to climb ranks).

According to Garmoth.com community stats (per hour) :

- You can earn over 500 Million Silver at Crescent Shrine (140ap required)

- You can earn over 600 Million Silver at Mirumok Ruins (240ap required)

- You can earn over 650 Million Silver at Centaurus's Herd (190ap required)

- You can earn over 750 Million silver an hour at Gyfin Rhasia Temple (270ap 5 man) 

 > Arena of Solare should also have a set silver amount that is comparable to a low end grind. Ofcourse adjust the silver since AOS matches are shorter. Practice Mode excluded.


Example Mini Game ideas (photoshopped mockups) :
In addition to Castle Ruins point system and Valencia City’s post control , it would be awesome to see more mini games introduced in the future like:

[Most kills wins]: 20 min timer, self explanatory


[Capture the Flag]: 20 min timer, pick up a flag, Perhaps you get 25% slow and 50% extra damage reduction while in holding it, your team defends you.  The side with the most time in possession of it wins


[Tower Defense]: 20 min timer, the most damage caused to the enemy team’s tower wins the match

If this suggestion were to happen, it would be great if we also get new maps, the BDO world is full of gorgeous views

PVPers need to be able to earn silver through an equalized team-up RBF mode with AOS equipment but with 60 players.
It’s an untapped market that will only expand the Black Desert population.  Also please understand that I am in no way suggesting you make more profitable than grinding.
The PVP community will be extremely grateful if the silver rewards are worth the time invested. even if the hourly gains aren't the best. It will demonstrate respect for the player's time.


Everyone is still free to utilize the standard RBF if they like. Although, to be honest, After LONG conversations with friends and people from the community,  it appears 99.9% of people find the level of geared players in there to be god-like. Because of this, it makes it look like we don't enjoy PVP, but AOS has shown just the opposite.

yes ! absolutely, i would never want them to remove the normal RBF :)  , i said it should have no effect on normal RBF and that people would be free to join the regular one anytime!

Again, pure pvp activities should never bring a regular income comparable to any grind spot, even low ones, for the sake of the owpvp.

I don't think it will have any effect on Open world, even during the height of solare , I would go to arsha and find lots of people, this proposed equalized RBF might not be everyone's cup of tea but it will help people who hate PVE, I'm a grinder and a lifer, this idea isn't even for me , i just want my friends to come back to the game and have something they love to do :) 
Also if OW pvp was a priority , there wouldn't be a Karma system.

I'm all in favor for more PvP modes. The capture the flag one, I think would not work at all with how the game works, and the speed of everything (even with the proposed debuffs when carrying it), but the rest seem like good ideas. I'd switch up the capture the flag one to basically deliver the flag somewhere to start gaining points, and then turn it into a point/building defense on the team with the flag. If no side scored any points or draw (very even teams, no one managed to capture the flag to start gaining points), default to the one with the most K/D, this would make both the flag and overral performance of the team important (could even make a overral score counter that decides it, instead of being just K/D).

Just a heads-up for future posts, the title "The Pure PVP Population" might give people the wrong idea of the post, as it did me in the beginning (I may read the full post, but a lot of people don't), as if PA ever caters to full PvP gamers, for the sake of fairness it'd have to cater to full PvE gamers, and that's one heck of a can of worms to open up...

But, I'm all on board, would love to have these in the game, equalized gear or not, for when I'm feeling like some PvP. May I just suggest that also add a AoS gear version and an uncapped gear version? Cause I know some PvPers prefer capped gear, and some others prefer uncapped.

I love it all! also your improvement on "capture the flag" is even better than what i thought up,  I want to see more minis in regular RBF too!   

Also Please help me , what do i change the title to, i want people to give this a chance and not go off on a presumption and comment based on only the title xD

     It would be awesome to have the option of earning silver through RBF! Considering PVP is probably the main reason I play the game for, it would definitely be nice having some form of progress made while having fun for sure. New maps would be awesome as well. I'm all for it considering people can afk lifeskill all day and make bank.

And owpvp is a priority. It's a regulated one, owpvp is not necessarily FFA and is totally compatible with a karma system. That's even what we have since the beginning of BDO in our regions.

Respectfully ^^ , The pve and life skill population might be at its APEX ,  However , we might be able to attract new players and slowly ease them into the main game. because  there isn't a way to totally opt out of PVE.  infinite pots,  for example , you have to go out and get them yourself.  
Also since it's lower than PVE money , it won't be anywhere near as rewarding as grinding 
No need control people's playstyle. If you want to pve, you can, if you want to life, you can, if you want to AFK, you can . 

if you wanted to just pvp for your money, you should be able to like almost every other game does it.
