i have 281 AP and i believe the PvE content is boring and repetitive, maybe dont be so hypersensitive about people being honest?

All PvE content in every game is boring and repetitive. I played WoW from launch to Legion at the highest level and I never enjoyed any content more than once or twice. Same with FF14 and ESO, except ESO is worse because of it's utter garbage combat system that forces you to have an APM near SC2 pros just to play effectively, for hours. Fuck. That.

In other words, BDO is indeed not a skill-based game but a gear-based hac'n'slash. Even the devs officially stated it.

This factual truth is obvious for every competent gamer, yet Factorial refuses to acknowledge it.

 

Suuuuurrrre, yeeeeaaaahhhhh, it's all hack and slash. Just go to any current end game location such as Ash Forest, etc, and apply hack and slash mode. Enjoy.

 

The stupid will become self-correcting at that point. We have been through this so many times. You need to get out of Sausans.

Wrong.  Everquest provided a superior PVE experience with an extremely high skill cap, impressive AI, group synergy, timing, detailed pulling, and much more.

 

People are simply willing to PAY for inferior products today, so this is what you get.  Easy to churn out, very little effort.  You get what you pay for.

to the OP:

 

there are alot of noobs in this thread, they are hating on BDO because they cannot be bothered to take the time and effort to make and play a high leveled character with decent gear. in their world the mobs are always paper and easy to kill because they make no progress.

 

No haters here just sad facts about BDO and why we all know this game could be 100x better. I run around on my lvl 63 ninja now with 680 GS and I'm not going to lie to someone an tell them this game has interesting and enjoyable PVE combat when it really doesn't.

Yes somethings will always feel repetitive after doing it long enough but that in it self doesn't make something boring. I played EVE Online for 10 years I spend 4 years doing the exact same content in that game over and over and over again an while yes it was repetitive it never got boring because how it was designed was extremely enjoyable.

 

But in BDO yes this is the case cause I shit you not when I say when I grind mobs in this game I'm literally not even looking at my screen half the time as I'm killing the mobs cause there nothing I need to be paying attention too or care about beside running around in a circle spamming skills.

People are so weird. MMORPG aren't chess; they are checkers at best. MMOs are about doing the same thing repeatedly and people here crying essentially about it not being "hard enough." If you want a challenge, go play a competitive game; MMOs aren't like that.

Green text was a terrible idea for a white background why do you hate us?

 

Also there plenty of MMOs that have hard and challenging PVE. Few examples are PSO2, ESO's dungeons/Raids, Mortal Online,  Albion Online. This game just isn't one of them. The AI is as braindead as an AI can be there program is stand in place attack player when they get within X range attack every so and so seconds with the same basic attack, respawn after death in so and so seconds. Literally can't get any more simpler than that unless you want just make the mob a stable keeper that you press E on and it brings up a menu that has nothing to do with the NPC beside the NPC being the trigger for the menu.
