No haters here just sad facts about BDO and why we all know this game could be 100x better. I run around on my lvl 63 ninja now with 680 GS and I'm not going to lie to someone an tell them this game has interesting and enjoyable PVE combat when it really doesn't.
LOL, you don't even have a ninja let alone a 63, so I doubt you are even 580GS let alone 680 LOL
ArchaicTriad was right calling you out, you and Retteo are the two biggest idiots on the forum that have no idea how the game works and straight-up lie about your progression, because half the stuff you two say don't even make sense, even fearless and factorial making more sense than you two, and that says, A LOT
my take as to why you two hate the game so much is that you two never leave your mom's basement, with both of you close to 400 posts, I don't even have half the amount compares to you two, and find myself on the forum quite a bit, you two are on the forum more than in-game making progress, what you two need to leave your mom's basement and do something productive instead of being a keyboard warrior, heck, even start streaming is more productive than being a basement dweller.

Also there plenty of MMOs that have hard and challenging PVE. Few examples are PSO2, ESO's dungeons/Raids, Mortal Online, Albion Online. This game just isn't one of them. The AI is as braindead as an AI can be there program is stand in place attack player when they get within X range attack every so and so seconds with the same basic attack, respawn after death in so and so seconds. Literally can't get any more simpler than that unless you want just make the mob a stable keeper that you press E on and it brings up a menu that has nothing to do with the NPC beside the NPC being the trigger for the menu.
When I first tried Sherek when it was released I thought to myself, wow Pearl Abyss really working hard to prove they are some of the laziest developers in the world. *Sigh* every single pack just spamming CC's? No quality control at all? No effort? Just slap the laziest possible coding and release it? That's exactly what they did.
Not even a thought put into how much CC spam that would create. Just the least amount of coding possible for the mobs to actually attempt to move and attack.
And here is why NO ONE can legitimately argue against it.
NONE of that is opinion. It's literally a Factual break down of how the system works.

I started playing BDO recently and I'm in love with the character design, landscapes, combat mechanics, graphics, etc. However, the PVE content is soooo boring and repetitive!
So far it seems no matter how many mobs I take on all I have to do is hold down my left mouse button and watch everything die like a wet paper bag! Which seems a real shame, considering how many possible attack combos are avaliable. What is the point in having so many options when attacking mobs basically requires no thought what so ever, and doesn't seem to make any difference what button I press, they die just as easily.
Am I missing something?
Depends if you are playing at a challenge to your gear level or not. Leveling you aren't likely to find that challenge unless you seek it out. Because you outlevel the pace of regions and the main story very quickly (they should really rethink the mob difficulty pacing of beginner leveling zones).

Yes the pve content is basically just brainless facesmashing unless you are undergeared.
I quite enjoy the game and even how they have given the story more structure but unless you can can stand mindnumbing enemies you will probably get burnt out, not to mention the rng needed to gear up or to grind enough to buy the gear you need at the right rank.

General knowledge and understanding about game mechanics and concepts.
Like for example, experienced raiders will only need to see a mechanic once to understand it, and how to deal with it. A newbie to the genre can barely comprehend why fire is bad.

Thankfully this game doesn't require a lot of knowledge to play. Literally the only thing you need to know in BDO to be considered experienced is what a SA is what a FG is what an iframe is, how the few CCs in the game work, and damage multipliers. This game's mechanic are actually simplistic, they only seem immense because of the fast pace action combat but take away the action combat and well you'll see that even runescape has more mechanics in it than BDO. An runescape a 18 year old game now made using javascripts.

No, he's saying you don't even have a Ninja let alone a level 63 character, but ok. You can literally look at anybody's basic account info as long as you have a name and the region they're on.
