I've only been playing this game for five months and archer was one of my favorite classes. It wasn't the best in pve but it was fun to play. It just needed some minor tweaks to make it better. I don't understand the rework, this is the worst possible outcome.
The lesson I learned today is quite simple. Don't spend pearls on outfits and such because you are probably decking out a future mule.
I love this game but I'm wondering if this is the future for every class. Maybe I'm wasting my time and money.

The changes on Marked Bloom and Spear of silvya are really nasty and confuse us a lot in pve. AoE back please !
indeed, it was the only skill I was mainly using for PvE while grinding in spots that requires some quick AoE, now it's gone.
Gaping Darkness is also screwed up. What was once a very easy, useful skill (RMB) is now impossibly hard, (w+e) and useless in most circumstances.
totally agree, Archer just feel unplayable now after all these changes, I hope they change it back, although I think it's gone foverer. and PA won't even listen to us players. the best thing they could have done is some adjusts in the stats, increasing defense and extra things, not destroying the class, after it being a solid class for years.
it could be worse, you could be awkened caster with 1 reliable movement forward every 7 secs. try farming one tap areas with that kit.
the class is basically single target now, with no useful AoE at all, it's impossible to grind any mid/endgame spot after this change, especially because you have to do so much with the new kit, and after one rotation the stamina is gone. imagine grinding on Centaurus which should be something really fast, now it's impossible and not worth the time. I used to make around 600million/h there, sometimes even more, now it's less than 300million/h.
Spear of Sylvia was bad but was good. This was my defensive skill when I was surrounded by mobs. Now Spear of Sylvia is useless to me, removed good heals and where is FG (Spear of Sylvia had SA, now it should have FG according to patch notes)?
As already said: without ability to use Marked Bloom during cd Marked Bloom is useless, small increase in endgame doesn't compensate for the loss of 50-80% grind speed on 1 hit mob zones.
And DoubleTap. This skill without protection is useless, the fact that we can use it more comfortably now doesn't change anything.
to be honest I think they are not even listening to players that actually play the class daily, maybe they are just tweaking numbers to pretend they are making weekly updates. I'm quitting BDO for good now, after all these years, and I'll only consider going back IF they change it back to what it was. Of course Archer need some attention, that's why there's forums to ask players what they can do to make it feel better.

Correct. Archer required only minor changes (faster skills and protection) because, as we know, he was far behind in end game and pvp (not a single archer in the top 100 solar arena).
As soon as I read about these changes on global lab, it was for me tantamount to a complete end of the game in the form of killing mobs, I had a life skill left, but what do I use it if it doesn't give any sensible profit.

indeed, and even if some random Archer do something great with the new kit, it doesn't represent the majority of the player base that plays Archer daily, the class need to feel good for everyone, not only to a few people, that play an especificaly playing style.

The best part of playing a MMO with action combat, is the possibility to create your own playing style, your own combos, but with this new kit, the possibility is just gone in all aspects.

Sure because it's easier now to just hide behind your guild or on some rock or tower an blast people from range. But not everyone likes that kind of playstyle and that's also never been what archer was about (at least for me). I don't want my class to be turned into succ ranger 2.0.
Also what has node war performance to do with a discussion that has been mostly about pve? Are pve archer supposed to just reroll to maegu while being happy for all the node war archers that can now get a few more kills?

Maybe you didn't understand my point here my friend, I've been playing Archer as my main class since its release. My point was to show the bad decision that was taken. it's not about NW, I'm pretty sure that there's a few people that might perform good in NW and PvP, but that's not the majority of the player base that plays Archer, in fact that's just a small % that may or may not perform good with this new kit, and along these years that I've been playing, I've met a ton of people that has their own playing style, which is the grace in an action combat MMO like BDO, to make your character feels unique.

My point here is that with these changes, the class is unplayable and do not have this option anymore, also looks like they are forcing people to play in only one playing style and the ones that don't do it, are forcing to change their main class not giving other options to players, like Archer has before it. It's not about only PvP, or NW, it's about the class itself, overall, especially on PvE, which is the main source of progression before players can even think about on doing some PvP or NW.

Another point is, We didn't ask for this modifications, Archer has been a solid class for years, the only thing it needed was some minor adjusts in the numbers, like defense, and some other tweaks in order to perform good and have the chance to do great overall.
