The Corsair could have been two separate classes, one pirate-based and the other mermaid-based, which is weird because I had the idea PA would really like to create more classes. It can still be split up. The mermaid graphic just does not seem to jibe with the Corsair. It seems forced.

Reskill the Corsair a little and remove the "mermaid" skills. If necessary, the animation for those skills can be changed while retaining the damage and other effects.

Corsairs could have sailing experience contribute to their combat experience like the Shai does with gathering and alchemy, though maybe not a much.

Mermaids could get a bonus for fishing experience.

One of my uses for the Corsair is for underwater gathering given the extra breathing time it has (20 seconds) plus the faster movement speed (as a "mermaid"). I would be willing to give this up for a separate mermaid class with better underwater breathing and the ability to swim faster without annoyingly alternating between "normal" and "mermaid" every few seconds like the Corsair does now.

With an ocean-oriented class, I would hope PA would pay more attention to ocean content, though maybe that's why they rolled it into the Corsair to begin with.
