You forget that bdo is Not an Asia grinder... It's advertised as an Sandbox mmorpg.. Guess what new people wanna play new region, not do 6 year old if content for months.
And yes I want that new people get the treasure item for free, 1 atleast, so they get a taste of it, and then get motivated to search the others.
Same for the gear, if they have the good gear, they skipped the rough part and can now slowly improve their godr weapons, ur doesn't hurt much if you fail the godr, cause you not loosing like 8ap at ones...
And yes that's how many mmos do catchup, login, play a week get 2nd best gear for free. Blade and soul gas a very fun and fancy way of doing it, BDO could copy their soul boost system. It even would promote group play..

Watched any class trailer or region trailer for bdo ever, no grinding ? Deffinitley didnt see Maegu at oluns ... Didnt see woosa at skeletons by tariff an also the new region mobs ... drakaina at stars end ... Didnt see odylita showing off oluns and turos or eilton area having the snow ball looking creatures..

Any class reveal they show them grinding lmao. New regions shows the mobs off, including morning light. I dont think you have seen any of bdos trailers somehow.

First: The entire post is made on so many misconceptions that made me to even lose the count. But at the same time, I don't want to elaborate here on this. Because:

Guess what.. Most people who write and read the forums are the veterans, cause the casuals have no energy to make feedback, they just quit and search other game... BDO Forums is an echo chamber, and if someone from outside the chamber enters and want to spread facts they get down voted... Classic...
In the long run pearlabyss will realise this, the game needs to be appealing for new players, not for the veterans who have everything. New players spent money, not the veterans who has all costumes....
If the veterans were "spoiled" as you described, then did they beg for freebies to earn their gear? How did the marketplaces get Enhanced items to a specific level? Who enhanced them? Did they get to Guru lifeskills by asking to get boosted by a GM or anybody above?
How do players get knowledge? By playing and exploring the game and figure out how does this or that work? Should anybody listen to a player, that doesn't have even a definition of the game? It's like asking the person over there, who even never touched a keyboard or a mouse what is "Black Desert Online" and how it functions. Ofcourse everybody would listen to the older player, whom is also successful in the game. Ofcourse I'll downvote anything consisting of misconceptions or other stuff completely untrue, which also makes no sense or logic.
This is completely offtopic.

OP asked only whywe have AP caps, we could close this topic after first response so... xd Answer is simple to prevent from situations where older players dominate in lower spots, give a purpose of existing "species AP" perk. Thats all.

you are totally wrong. just google black desert trailer.. Almost everything is NOT about combat.. The only thing that is about combat is "CLASS COMBAT TRAILER"... Shocking Pikachu face! A Combat Trailer is about combat!!...
