pearl abyss right now must be fairly confused asking themselves why people want to get money from pvp when they can just hit monsters in circles for hours. isnt that the point of bdo? isnt that the fun part of the game????

don't expect a reply for months, when PA doesn't like a suggestion that is heavily wanted by the community they'll just ignore anyone mentionning it for months and years (for example KR has been very vocal about removing the bullshit 500k silver hp potion, and they still didn't hear a single word about it)

NW's giving 150mil for losing, how many people doing them ? Judging by reducing amount of nodes and limit participants, nowhere near 11k.

Remember what happens to Shadow Arena ? Oh yeah you love it and everyone love it, you love it so hard that PA can't handle it in main game because of server load, what happens when its moved to stand alone? 5 players peek, that's what happens.

The 500k hp potion is part of PA attempt to balance damage in game.

Same with all the new crystals and slots

They are making an attempt to mitigate damage without redoing all there trash balancing they did a year ago.

I will use the bigger hp pots, between that the ultimate hooms and the new crystals makes your build pretty tanky.

Time gate all the new stuff is complete garbage don't know of anyone that is happy with this new boss rush.

thats a terrible way to "balance damage" (which will also btw destroy class balance if they overdo it)

the new crystals are already extremely good for dp and the new gloves give 300hp for free. the potion is overkill and its price is ridiculous, have fun wasting 1 billion silver for each hour of pvp.

lmfao maybe very few people do rbf because 1- there are no meaningful rewards whatsoever for doing it. as someone who almost never dies more than 4/5 times in a rbf i am close to silver negative. less experienced pvp players literally lose money for playing the game.

2- the rbf DR buff makes the pvp feel quite bad with how different it is to normal pvp gameplay, and is honestly now completely unnecessary with the new crystals and gloves. if the devs want less damage in pvp it's time to nerf the overpowered dps classes like drakania, archer, succ sage, awk nova and probably new classes i don't know about because i stopped playing a few months ago.

and 3- ranged classes on roofs absolutely destroy the game mode in what is the only viable map, valencia. it takes a ridiculous amount of time to reach a roof and during this time the roof campers have time to kill 2-3 people and chunk hp from your whole team very easily.

it doesn't help that PA buffed ranged classes for no reason, giving them even more damage and even more ways to avoid melee classes that waste time going on roofs to kill them.

nw is trash content that isnt comparable to grinding in any way. it is at a fixed time and you need a shotcaller, defense team, base builder, elephants, cannons etc. the gameplay isn't that fun because you have to follow the shot caller and only fight at specific times which can fairly rare. there is also no small scale uncapped nws. its honestly a very hard content to set-up for, with few time slots and that is imo nowhere near as fun as open world/rbf aka "solo pvp" can be.

for all the hassle this game mode takes, the silver rewards are also ridiculously low especially now that people have to use the 500k potions. they have to spend 1 billion silver for a nodewar that gives them basically nothing and isn't even that fun to begin with.

i never played shadow arena but moving it to a stand alone with no rewards for mediocre gameplay obviously kills the game mode, i don't know what's surprising about this. shadow arena's pvp looks nowhere near as fun as bdo pvp, now take away all the rewards and progression from actually playing a mmo and you are left with nothing. the standalone game was obviously destined to die.

RBF would be more popular if the OP's idea was introduced and if we had better maps aka people want that kind of content but there is not enough incentive progression wise or quality wise. Shadow arena first of all was taken out of bdo because of the cheaters not server load. And the reason it was popular in bdo is becuase it was fun enough for people as a side activity to do outside of grinding that also earned them silver while as a standalone it was not fun enough to play as a separate game without any rewards that would allow for gear progression in bdo.

it was a new level of disgusting's in RBF... whole teams sitting outside the circles to farm kills watching me stand in the middle (was in my DP shai gear), and when enemies all nearly dead.. they stopped attack and waited for more enemies, so that we would not gain the point... 

and the could keep the debuff up to farm more kills.

Not seen it to this level before, but seems to coincide with the returning players.

Any reward system need to heavy promote the intended function of the match over kill counts (Valencia RBF is a team objective match, kills should be a side effect and not a goal)… So that you would have to be very ‘something’ if you wanted to throw a match instead of winning.

cant blame these player for doing what they did, as only kills matter in RBF, match wins are not counted and recoded on a score sheet, and rewards are poor.

Given people would rather collected kills than try to win a match show there is a serious issue with the current system?

I would rather that they fix RBF stability issues first. So common to crash in a match when only 30-60 characters are in; How bad is "elf war" going to be with 300v300?

If youre using a points based/performace system, why not give points for buffs/heals instead of just sidelining them to point capture?

Sure, when they deal with leechers who there for rewards and fix reward system to actually rewarding players who benefiting for team goals,  W to 3 and spam your combo not doing it btw.
