The Torn Treasure Map Piece exchange that was implemented at Oquilla is a complete scam.  More often than not you end up with one of the same pieces (usually a center piece) that you just traded in, which just leaves losing 1 map piece and 300 crow coins.  

Please change the current exchange box at Oquilla to be a "choose your map piece" box instead of a random piece.  You can leave it at 2 map pieces and 3 moss removers, just remove the random piece reward and change it to a "choose your piece" reward.

There are many scams in this game some of which require real money being spent. This is not as bad but I agree 100% that it needs changing.

Is really the harder treasure to get in this game, you make no money while you grind at crocs, you can't even use the 2mil method as a "pity pieces" option because you spend all your crown coins on the mossy removers, so basically all you do is throw your time to get nothing in return, I personally gave up on the maps after 2 months and I started my crown coin farm instead, it'll take at least a year to get the 2mil but at least I know that in a year I'll get what I want instead of spending who knows if half year or 3 to get or not the nol from the box. Going to the spot to grind is already annoying alone because there are no wharf manager close, "wait for new region to fix that" yeah and for all the pirates to live there to grief whoever is trying to finally grind better in those spots, 2 mil crown coins chill grind doesn't sound so bad compared to that in the end, so I clearly agree this really need to be improved. Also your free time is very valuable and doesn't matter if there is real money or not involved, RNG deciding if someone get this in a week or 3 years is just dumb.

The fact that it's a 1% chance of getting the "symbol-engraved nol" piece from the chest is pain enough.  Getting map pieces shouldn't be so painful as well.

Bumping..   I just did 3 of the Oquilla map exchanges.

All 3 times, I traded in 2 center pieces, and got 1 center piece in return.  This is absolute garbage.

It doesn't matter much, the difference between the spots is that OE one has 1% drop rate from the box and the others 4 spots have 0.5%, is the same rate than vell's heart dropping from the bunddle and just like that some people get absurdely lucky and get it on the first 5 bundles and others after 3 years still can't get one, they need to rework this treasure because is so unfair that a few people got it in less than 20 boxes or even less than 5 boxes while others have to go over 150 to get it or maybe even not... just because $%^) you that is how RNG work yes! there is still one sea grind spot they mentioned in the last calpheon ball and wasn't added yet, let's hope they implement something better with that one than what we've now, and yea the crown coin menthod is there and which translate to 10-11 months of a guru bartering with VP from start until the end without skipping a single day, 6-8 hours of your every day will be needed which is around 2k hours in total of only bartering vs someone who spent a week of lazy grind at the margoria fleet and he get the piece on the first box xDDDDD.

The crown coin method would be fine just because there are players that are playing the game for 7 full years already, the thing is you don't know if you gonna get the piece from the box before 10 tries or after 150 so you're forced to play RNG there too before deciding which path to take, as someone said in another spot already "PA really need to stop disrespecting our time".

Then they should lower the rate on the center pieces to 1/9 of the other pieces >.<

But either way, that Oquilla "map exchange" absolutely should be changed to a "choose your piece" box

I have my doubts that any box is better than the others.  I've always heard that Ivero was the best.
