There's 0 excuse for the NA server still being in cali. The team said a while back they had plans to move it to a more central location, its more than time to do so. Half of the continent having a clear ping advantage over the other is nonsense. A central location will ensure that everyone will be able to have a similar ping.
For reference, I live in Eastern time zone. Not as east as many people but right on the line of CST/EST. I have the exact same ping to the NA bdo servers as i do the EU bdo servers. Thats crazy. I don't even want to know how it is for people even further east in the country.

I strongly disagree with you. The Oceania players have far higher ping than you do and it will be far worse if they move the severs from the west coast to a more central location.

You mean the ones that shouldn't be on the NA server to begin with? Tough, their opinion doesn't really matter when they're not even from NA

Thinking about this even more. That's actually the most ridiculous response someone could even say. You literally have 0 input into this conversation if you're not from NA. That'd be like me complaining about the KR server location and asking them to move it closer to me when I live in NA and shouldn't be on that server to begin with.
Oceania aka New Zealand and Australian players are part of the North American server by Region assignment, and have always been. These players have just as much rights as any other in the supported countries to be playing BDO in an acceptable manner.
Unless these is some way to ensure their experience not worsening by a lot, moving the servers is not acceptable.
Well, time to set up an Oceania server?
I wouldn't mind catering to the oceania players if it wasn't for the fact they are only the 1%.
NA server should be central.

There's literally a SEA server thats much closer than NA?
in all reality, though, this game is past it's mid-life. there's no way they're relocating their servers at this point.

I'm not sure I can agree with that. BDO has maintained a consistent player count ever since 2015, like it hasn't changed on an average basis. As long as they keep content coming out and actually listen to the playerbase from time to time (cough bring back aos cough), I think it's still easily going to be around and alive for quite some time.
