There's literally a SEA server thats much closer than NA?

Oceania servers have already reported that their ping to SEA is in no way better than to the current location in NA. Not to mention that many had accounts before the SEA server was opened in the first place, as it is a few years younger than NAEU.

It doesnt really matter if theres only 1% AUS people on the server. The server was set up to also service them, so unless there is a solution, moving the servers would be extremely unfair.

You 100% have better ping to SEA. I'm sorry, but that's a lie. It's literally in singapore lmao. (also you kinda just have to get over it, they already said they're going to do it, its just a matter of when)

Here's a distance comparison for your SEA vs NA server ping claim. (Which is 100% false lmao)

+1 the servers should be moved to Chicago, Ohio, Virginia, or New York. There are way more people on the east coast than the west coast. The easy solution so that no one is truly butt-hurt over it is to move it somewhere central.

Alaska?

It looks like the distance from Alaska to Chicago is similar to the distance from Alaska to LA. Chicago would be a perfect central location for the move, I believe that was mentioned, could be mistaken.

Edit: Chicago if we are talking major cities.

Geographical distance is just an indirect measure of latency.  Ok for a first approximation.  The actual network routing is the thing, and it sometimes does some crazy things.  Sort of like air travel routes and hubs, but worse.

We have such better latency to SEA that its actually higher than NA (220ms without spikes on average vs 160 to 190ms) also servers are in Taiwan for Sea servers because routing to them countries arent exactly great. Looks good on paper in reality its bad.

Also Oce was originally with NA from the start , when Sea came along the old team refused transfers an its still not allowed to have transfers. Also if you think PA carrying on cheaping out on servers an moving them is going to help your mistaken.

Oceania aka New Zealand and Australian players are part of the North American server by Region assignment, and have always been. These players have just as much rights as any other in the supported countries to be playing BDO in an acceptable manner.
Unless these is some way to ensure their experience not worsening by a lot, moving the servers is not acceptable.

Honestly, there is no way to appease both sides. You either screw up one side (Eastern Coast US/Canada), or you screw up Oceania (Australia and New Zealand). This ends up being a consequence of the geographical position of Australia and New Zealand on the globe, they are way too far from North American servers, which i had say they share more cultural/lingusitic identity with. But on the other hand also still far from the main Southeast Asian population hubs, which they share quite less compared to say United States.
So i don't know, there isnt an solution to appease both. Either one gets screwed or the other.

considering how many more NA players there are, the choice is obvious
