Move servers to central location immediately. Upgrade servers as well.

We are tired of west coast privilege.

In case you didn't read the whole topic, NA servers are made for OCE players too. So the location seems more logical on the west coast.

These are called "NA servers" because they're located in NA, not because they're only made for NA players.

As someone sitting right next to the servers right now.PA please keep the cali supremacy.

JK, I wonder how PA is going to handle the move that they announced.  BDO is the only MMO that does not slice the player base into regions(it did in the past). So an interesting watch for sure.

16ms in New World and Lost Ark and 150+ ms on BDO is disgusting. I wouldnt mind like 60-80ms with a central server to keep both West and Est together, but last time I checked today my ping was 186 from NA in bdo....... I live in diagonal of the server and it's unacceptable to have someone FROM NA having close to 200pings cause the server are at the bottom west corner of the states... Not my problem that they did a logistical error with the location. And now with the huge influx of players they will notice soon enough the biggest problem of this game is server location/ping/desynch and just move on cause it's a bad experience to even do Boss Blitz or/and PvP. And as far as I know the majority of people game from EST when you compare games with WEST and EST servers, EST are always more populated so why penalizing what is probably the majority of you player base with this server location?

We still need this. Servers should be put in a place that benefits the most players/reduce ping for the most players. Right now the location benefits a minority of west coast players while both central and east coast, which make up the majority of NA players, suffer worse ping.  The sensible thing is centralized servers.

Additionally, I don't think it makes sense to cater the NA server  to a small number of off shore players either. They should get their own server or join a server closer their location.

Oceania aka New Zealand and Australian players are part of the North American server by Region assignment, and have always been. These players have just as much rights as any other in the supported countries to be playing BDO in an acceptable manner.
Unless these is some way to ensure their experience not worsening by a lot, moving the servers is not acceptable.

No, they don't.

i said move teh server to san jose. imo san jose should be a better choice then any other place. Aussy and new zealand have fiber optic to san jose. even here in cali most of our fastest ping is to connect to san jose, then use teh internet backbond form san jose to everywhere else in cali. teh net backboen also run form san jose to the rest of nation as well.

the US have a stupid population spread. majority of it population either live in teh norther east most part of the country or int eh western southern most part of teh country both on opposite end of each other 3,000 mile apart.

moving server to centeral US is a stupid idea. that region only get hit by over 9000 tornado every years. everything i log into bdo, last thing i need to worry about is if teh server will be up or is it down cause mother nature drop a tornado on top of it

eastcoast to south east coast is even worst. every week is hurricane week all through summer. why put a server in hurricane way.

here in Cali u only have to worry about earthquake spliting the server in half, volcanoes burrying teh server under 6 feet of magma, or rampage wild fire turn it into ashes.

Cali is the better choice, Volcanoes, Wild Fires, Fire Vortex, and Earthquake is much safer then tornadoes or hurricanes. We only get hit by typhoon like once every other years.

This month LA got hit by typhoon and earthquake on teh sme day but server still up, barely any lags so u all can trust on Cali internet infastructure. it can take them all

All of the Oceanic players QQ"ing about where the NA server lives is pretty top shelf KEKW.
Trying to argue that NA servers weren't meant for just "NA Players" is hysterically funny to read. Of course they were.
Just like EU servers are meant to serve Europe. Russian servers are mean to serve Russia, KR servers are meant to serve whom? Africans maybe?...No, there meant to serve Koreans...
The fact you choose to play on a non-geographically close server is just that.. a choice.
All that being said, there is zero financial incentive for PA to move their server locations, so fear not, they're not going anywhere..lol

You should get your fact straight before using such an arrogant tone, because there's a link in this topic which confirms that OCE players are exactly where they're meant to be, where they're FORCED to be. Well, they may have chosen EU, you can do it too, but I'm not sure it would be better for them.

You're right. I removed my comment. How stupid could I be to think that Pearl Abyss wouldn't make players cross the Pacific Ocean to connect to a server when there are 2 other servers that are geographically closer to them.
That being said, they're not going to move the servers. They won't even upgrade the existing ones.
