yeah would love that....now if u really want to report a player you need to open a ticket for it...would be much faster if we could do it ingame. Maybe give each player like 1 Reportticket per day or something like this so there is no mass reporting out of toxicity...

So true! And I completely agree!
Besides and to my knowledge, even reporting through the Support system is ineffective when needing to take action towards the reported player...
Fingers crossed that PA takes this suggestion into consideration...

Bro, the only reason it doesn't work is to save money. Many players won't bother logging into the support page and submitting a ticket.

Did you seriously just downvote all the replies, including my original post, just for the sake of it?
What an unnecessary comment. People like YOU are one of the reasons why I don't just want this feature to exist, but we NEED it to exist.

It would be nice at the very least Ambas / Mods should get that option but alas no one gets it. Reporting is tedius and let's be completely honest here that the Lunar Halo Inn is and always has been in terrible shape. It's what new players see and veterans who don't know they can change channel continue to see. It's the face of BDO and yet it's basically tasteless messages over and over again mixed in with silver sellers.
There is a block feature that you can use, sure... But I don't think that's enough. People will quite literally turn it into a 4chan chat at a whim and while it's been getting better, it's a roulette on when that happens. I try to steer the convo back into the right direction but it rarely works. We need the abilty to report serious stuff and people need to be punished for reporting people over nothing. It's too much effort to login, do 2FA, open the support page, create a new ticket and provide screenshots and other things. It's at least 5-10 minutes per report.
IMO the chat would be a lot more player friendly if it had the report feature.

I didnt downvote anything, to prove it i will do it now!
What do you mean ppl like me? Ppl who point out the reality? Support costs money, every hurdle towards submitting a ticket is saving PA money.
+1

I think that having Moderators specifically for group chat mostly online, could be a great option.
However, I cannot recommend anyone from the current group chat (I know you're not saying that, just wanted to expand on this). Even those with a bunch of likes are also not very nice to others (sometimes). And I think that leaves a bad taste with the chat... I think that, maybe, they could be selected (instead) from PA itself through some sort of applications, and through the hundreds or thousands of applications, there must be at least a few people who:
- Have the time to stay online for long periods of time;
- Are often in group chat;
- Are not rude in any way towards any player;
- Have a stable mind and are not sensitive to other people's comments/opinions.
These requirements could grow larger and I've added all of these points because, people with moderating powers more often than not use them in not very right ways or abuse them at some point.
So, these players aren't exactly GM or anything, they could be something beneath that, and their powers are only directed towards keeping group chat clean.
Regardless if they add this 'Report System' or not, something must be done about this whole behavior in chat. Specially, now that the new LoML is coming soon to NA/EU, I'm expecting a bunch of new/returning players will be asking questions in chat...
PA please!

The first thing that any new player would do is disable server chat…
The in-game report option will never come back because it was exploited in the past. People massively reported specific people (shotcaller/Person in charge of politic) during node wars/siege to cut communication. Some streamer was also mass repo/tchatban for week as much as Guild drama/competition go.
Bref, toggle off World, Server group and chat Group. That would be disabled by default for new player sake.
