Install the Black Desert Launcher if the game doesn't start.

Install the Black Desert Launcher to start the game.

The launcher will appear if it's installed.
If it doesn't, try to run your downloaded launcher.

1 Run BlackDesert_Installer_NAEU.exe to install the Black Desert launcher.

2 Start the game once installation is complete.

I am writing this article instead of enjoying the new content expansion.

I have spent a lot of money on this game, and have read quest dialog, much of which i have filmed. I enjoy the lore of this game and I feel that I am rewarded for digging a bit and listening to the stories you guys have created. You have made a great game, have been great stewards of this game, and I consider myself a loyal customer.

The UI of this game has lost you customers.

Anecdotally I know this is the case, and I would assume that this is the case for a large amount of your potential customers.

I had to make a choice between getting footage for quests or having workers on my nodes. I chose to get footage.

Many people have to make the choice between giving this game a chance, or finding a game that doesn't bombard them with irrelevant enhancing notifications.

* your customer's first few minutes into the game will have no idea what a tet tungrad ring is. This gives new players the wrong impression.

Bdo isn't a cheap mobile game. I know many who aren't willing to push past that being their first impression.

I can specualte that with issues like the calamity pop-ups, devs might not need to take immediate action because it will technically resolve itself over time.

I also don't know the rationale behind only some segments of the ui being adjustable, such as the minimap being locked in place.

Maybe this post is yelling into the void. Perhaps the distaste in calamity pop ups will not be translated into a loss of profit, and over time be forgotten.

I have faith in the good will of the NA team. I hope this is heard, and some consideration taken to just how important a clean and self-directed UI is for the player and customer experience.

Suggestions:

Allow us control over the field at the top of the screen that notifies us of calamity and world bosses.

Allow us control of the text field in the center of the screen that has worker pop-ups.

Maps and other fields would be great but I understand if there is a reason these should remain uniform.

A knob for quest completed volume and other "dings" would be nice, but that might take a bit of effort with distinguishing those from other classes of audio files, so i understand if that isnt as easily done.

I realy need an option to turn them off or atleast change the size and place. It would be great to move to dialog box. Its realy annoying.
