There was no reason to make this longer then any other region and longer than a lot of them combined.

1. Boring activities that are insanely unrewarding between boss introductions. 30+ per section should be like 10 quests

2a. The autopathing and quest marking for this was god awful please improve it

2b. Having tons of random steps in quests to gather random unmarked items from different parts of the map sucks and autopathing for multi step quests is so hit or miss

3.  I understand this is now also a starter region but give higher levels chars a skip like you do with seasonal stuff that gives them a fast track to boss unlocks for those who don't care about this storyline (I'm sure a huge amount of the players)

4. Unskippable cutscenes? Why!?!?! If ya'll made cutscenes and a story worth seeing people wouldnt skip them.

True, there is an unreasonable amount of useless and boring dialogs and activities in those quest lines that makes them feel like a slog. I gave it a chance but then after the first two tales just R skipped the rest because It felt like a waste of time. PA should either hire better writers or give up on the story and put more effort into improving and adding actual gameplay content.

Boss fights in the middle of a main questline are NOT cool for folks geared for lifeskills or are not used to combat situations. Also anyone working on ocean content or working to build ships will find it a waste of time there.  No new ocean quests other than spending weeks to get a ship that is gonna cost you money to even make useful.  Players will have to spend cash to get extra sailor slots to even make the new ship viable.  Also after 4 days of steady fishing not one forest crystal and crap prices for fish..  Any time there fishing you might as well set a kiddie pool up and fish in it..  The land itself looks nice BUT not a profitable area unless you have some super RNG.  Also the Hampering sea monsters quest used to be in Port Ratt but now you have to go to the Eye get the quest then go back to the Eye.  All they did was make it evben harder than it was before.  The only thing good about the new area is they added storage to Oquillas Eye and a few NPCs when they blew up Port Ratt...

It's the story-driven region.

Finally, this game has a main quest line that is fun to play and progress through and listen to the story without the boring need for "R skip".

A lot of effort has been put into this. I'm kind of surprised that that content PA actually made. Surely, It's not a AAA story, but it is something that is enough for that kind of game.

This is a very good point to start for newcomers while veterans can enjoy the story as well. Just turn on your audio and listen to the cutscenes. I think it is good that the key cutscenes cannot be skipped.

I hope the same effort that they put to improve the questing, they also put into game balancing in the future (we can just hope).

Nobody forces you to do the questlines to progress, it's a sandbox game. You can always choose to grind instead or do other stuff. It's a MMORPG which means the story quests are an essential part of the game. If you don't like story questing, you can always play games that are not RPGs.

The questing has changed a lot form since day one. Now, with this questing level quality the LoML brings, it's now worth listening to quest once again as it is also standard to do so in other games.

For someone who just wants to R-spam through the MSQ to get the gloves, I understand your frustration... kinda. Other than that though, I have to say LoML MSQ is arguably the best one PA made so far. Story's nice, tasks are easy, backtracking is mostly automated via the teleports. The gatherables for the quests are designed so you don't queue to harvest the same 1 maehwa or whatever (granted, still need to tap 10 monsters, so /cryalot), if you'd just keep one eye on the quest markers.
Add to that the fact that you can pick what story you wanna run, instead of being railed through like it's the case with every other story in BDO. Also the stories are worth reading/listening to.

Overall, I'd say you're just whining cus the story is gating your access to the gloves that you already had the 250 despairs prepared for.

Most of the quest lines had good story elements, however, they are so jammed full of garbage and meaningless quests that you end up R spamming. It would have been much better if the quest lines were smaller and much more relevent to the story. Get rid of all the content filler quests, they ruin the stoy. Mote them to side quests if you want to meet some arbitrary content quota. Focus on the quality of the main quest line.

I'm quite sure most of you have been R-spamming after the first quest already, regardless of the story and pace. The filler you're talking about is part of the story and it fits. It's also a decent enough way of delivering more exposition without having a dialogue requiring 20 R taps, since it's broken down into smaller bits. It's good to take you around the area, sometimes dropping you near a knowledge spot - be it general or a dokkebi.

Can we add to this that even (good!) single player games have a lot of what you people call "filler" content?

You have side quests, you have good quality main story (for once, in a very long while). What you want is either Tl;dr main story to R-spam faster or, as I've said above, the Dahn's Gloves not gated behind the storyline (just so you can ignore it completely... oh, wait! you can't, cus gearscore stats and mansions... uff! tough! tough indeed!)

You have to do the questline to get the AP/DP, to complete the journals, to get the orbs for boss rush...

We may be able to eventually buy all the items from the new region (gloves/crystals/etc) but its crazy we have to do the questline to progress... Allow players to complete those tasks without doing the questline. IF the new region questline is actually good, i'll go back to it and watch it later. Just because you as a dev spent time in something doesnt mean its worth watching, we're the customer, let us choose what we want.

I refuse to believe anyone plays this game and doesn't spam R for every quest possible. Noone cares about the "story".

If there's no story at all, there's not much to get invested at. If I want to see numbers change, I have many other options available, that don't require this much storage space :) Worth noting that PA seems to be much better at adapting stories than writing their own. LoML is less confusing than what came before and the translations are not the complete blunder they usually are.

Completing the journals will probably take you longer than R-spamming through the main quest. Pretty sure there will be a lot of complain threads about that too. Come to think of it, it also takes you less time to run the story than it took you to grind your 100 embers for the other 2 Slumbering Origin pieces. Not enough, though, I guess. The chain of events would have to be: Second 0 - launch the game after the patch. Second 1 - get the benefits from the region. Second 5 - go back to grinding Hexe.

I have to admit though, PA's history of subpar storytelling doesn't help'em here. 6 years of R-spamming training can't be brushed over with just 1 good expansion.
