For reference, I've done all the questline, all my calamities for the week, made some Gukbap for guru cooking boxes, spamming gathering so I can experience the new minigames, set up my daily alt for coins, completed the latest journals, started furnishing my new mansion, tried out the new sniper rifle hunting, started slotting in the new crystals, and I've run across the new continent looking for new enhancement spots for tinfoil RNG while also jamming to the new music that isn't overburdening like the other regions.

This has been the best region since Kamaslvia. The new region feels lively and different from every other copy-pasted region in the game. The amount of care and love put into LoML has not gone unnoticed. I am extremely impressed and satisfied with it. It kind of sucks we didn't get new grind circles to run mindlessly in LoML so I have more reasons to be there more than once a week for bosses, however, if that's the price for a region this good, never make a new grind spot again.

I know a lot of players that are sharing their indignation toward the new continent (many of them in the forums it seems) and have the polar opposite opinion of me but I just wanted to point out that there are people who are in love with it all.

Kudos PA, thank you for the effort. I really hope you lean into this type of content more going into the future.

+ Can agree

The new region is great. And the story was enjoyable this time with a nice end.

I would've liked the worshops to be a bit faster (getting the soy paste in 1d+ per cycle is a bit of a stretch). I would've like every character to have its own light auras and their own pool of attempts. I would've liked the story ending to not be botched and translated in a different language than what I'm using when playing. And I would've liked to also have some rocks to mine in LoML.

All these being said, I was surprised by the quality of, well, pretty much every aspect of the new region. From story - with good plots, good acting, good structure and the nice changes when playing with a native character - to gatherables - varied and plenty - to challenges - that, between the ranking and the mechanics do give you something to work on - to music and environment - both really well crafted.

After that major, sorry excuse for a region of Eternal Winter, I was pretty much bracing for more of the same. So bloody happy I was blindsided by this!

Keep it up, PA! If this is where BDO's going, I'm definitely sticking around and am very much looking forward the release of Crimson Desert! Thanks! :)

I appreciate the lore, I finally played a game with Korean folklore.
I appreciate that they went out of their way to make books detailing the lore of each tale in the Adventure Log, I felt like I was reading a comic as well as that every npc (like the villagers) I interacted with had something unique to say.
I appreciate the amount of voice acting during the main quests.
The background music feels very much like a traditional Asian/Korean music which augmented the theme and I liked the spooky themes the most.

The expansion has enriched an already rich world containing a wide variety of different themes and cultures which I also appreciate.

The boss fights have been fun for me so far.

Bump to give the new region a thumbs up👍

Obviously, like anyone else there are things that I think could/should have been done differently but on the overall its a good expansion and I hope that they actually finish the zone.

Although leaving north Korea as a land in the dark that we arent allowed to enter would be amusing 😬

I do wish that we had the option to stay and grind the bosses in 1 3 and 5 person modes as an alternative to going back to the boring world and grinding..

...but I can also appreciate that they chose a design which complements the existing game with new unique content that doesnt outright replace the old world as well.

I will extend my goodwill to this thread.  I am enjoying the land overall, and the storyline is quite decent, although the beginning rubbed so much salt into the wound of losing Port Ratt to........ cough, cough, Nampo..... but then I got to Daelbol, and that's where the story centers around, at least where I'm at in the storyline, and the scenery is breathtaking.  The music is amazing..... if only they hadn't broken the implementation a year an a half ago with the rotating "regional" music tracks..... ugh, some tracks just don't fit the location.  It ruins the experience.

The music in Bari forest is amazing, but if you're not doing the quest..... ok, there's a creepy vibe, but no danger...................... Not having monsters to keep areas dangerous, which is something this game does well, and is kind of the main thrust of the game, Loml feels a bit underwhelming.

Also, as someone brought up in a serperate thread.... Why not give names to MoEW, and LoML?  Such obnoxious mouthfuls..... and horrific abbreviations.......

But this is an appreciation thread, not a greivance thread.......

Still, when a company that makes a game you love, and then two years after you start, they begin mutating the game into something that makes you cringe again and again and again and again....... you start to become bitter to anything that company does....... I'm talking to you, PA.

Still, PA did well with the Kingdom that was once named Haso and is now branded the Land of Morning Light.... they can do more...... ugh

Sorry, vitriol still seeping out.......

Good job, PA!
