For me personally? Potion grind doesn't sound fun so I just don't do it. Props to the people who do, I hope they go in knowing honestly what they are going into. 

I understand the intent from Pearl Abyss, but the mass disparity and risk is simply far to high.  The design is also just bad.  You can ONLY farm them in specific areas that are not part of your general routine.  They should be acquired in all regions or have some mechanism to ensure you don't waste 100's of hours on it in a low area.

400+ hours is a ridiculous amount of time and for the worst case scenerios it could be 1,000 hours.

The treasure items with no granutee way to get them and just PURE RNG is aids and doesn't work to encourage people to grind for them. IDK a single person that grind for these items and said it was enjoyable only "Finally I got my HP pot done with this shitty grind finally." Never have I heard "This grind is great it so enjoyable and working toward this piece really encourages me to keep playing". It espiscally bad when you start looking at the compass or map. I know some people who have been grinding for the compass for 5 years now and still don't have the item. This system is canerous and unenjoyable no one likes it and people only do it cause carrying around and replacing 100 pots while grinding is annoying when you can burn through 1k pots in an hour at some grind spots and depending on your class.

What's worse is that Devs seem to think that such a system is appreciated by players, but the reward is the only interesting thing, not the way to get it.

You perfectly explained the situation. 

Infinite pot grind should have a high and low end grind spots for the pieces. I basically did 1 - 2 hr a day since the patch came out for it. Didn't rush to get it because I wasn't comparing myself to anyone else.  For the other "treasure items", they were meant to be special for the hard core. These items don't break the game its just long cool down items that can fast travel you to certain spots. 

Most of these items are used to "Flex" on people in chat. Its the same idea why go for PEN BS, when you can go for PEN Kzarka/Dande and just caphras it to C20.  They both have similar stats, the difference is little more monster damage/the look and the abiliy to flex your gear.

This game has different paths to get to the same end goal. Some roads are easier than others. Each Player needs to stop comparing their gear to someone with higher gear. There is no point in racing to the end, because this game is all about the journey and how you reach the peak. Take your time, do what you want.

Real question, WHO ARE YOU RACING?

Yeah just stop trying catchup to people gearwise that will actually content block you from the decent silver per hour areas. Just continue to grind at areas that won't even net you a average of 80mill per hour. So you can spend around 3k total hours of grinding extremely boring NPCs. Just so you can just enter the barrier to defend your spot. 

It's not a race right? So be happy to be PKed or Fed to NPCs countless times. Just to enter the barrier of PvP. While other P2W or RNG carried players do in under 300 hours.

The game is for everyone, even for casuals. Only people who want to be number 1 in this game will fail.

About this silly 400m per hour.

First.

If you not drop accessory worth at least 100 millions you wont get 400 mill per hour period.

Second.

If you grind for silver, not for fun, its second or first job and Im feel sorry for You. Also with VP every causual in this game can make a lot of silver from first day of play. Math is important in life trust me XD.

Third.

400 mill per hour is not the best silver, trust me.

If every single crying person in this game just sit and think for a moment, organize their time proper maybe they wont be so drama in 80% of post here lol.

I have no idea what game you are playing where you are being PKed or fed to monsters all the time...or even on anything that resembles a normal occurance...but it ain't this game.  I have been in unwanted PvP less than 10 times in the span of 4 years.  I have never been fed to a mob and had it attempted twice.  Unless you are a complete douchebag who is constantly karma bombing and attempting grind over somebody, this is not an issue.  If you ARE a complete douchebag...maybe not be one would be a suggestion...but based on your post, that may not be an option for you.  But regardless of what game you play, you are gonna have problems if you continue to act the way you do.

The ppl who didn't bother transfering their accounts when Kakao to PA Transfer was happening are the only ones who beat the game.

rng is gonna average itself out at some point, everyone who has played BDO for a long time has experienced the feeling of RNG just fked me and im a noob due to poor luck. break past that point and youll have your success, to be completely honest it is hella easy today to get to a decent AP level. there were times where you havent gotten anything decent via season servers or events.
