What better reason is there than we, the players of BDO, being just plain awesome for playing and sticking around. Like, I think my GF is awesome for sticking around, so I treat her well, this is a similar gist.
PA: "Hey, our players, you guys are awesome! Thanks for playing our game. As a thanks during the transition, here's the free gifts we promised you (T4 pet, Crons, etc.)....and as an added bonus -- for being such awesome players, and paying customers of our game, -- The +1 AP/DP from the transition event will remain permanent, for all players who play Black Desert Online, past, present or future. Please take this is our Thank You to you, our awesome players, for helping us develop Black Desert online into the state it is in today. We hope you can find this SMALL INCREASE to your sheet stats a benefit to help you continue enjoying your time spent here."

That's a freeloader for you.. They already gave us a lot of free stats through adventure logs! well.. some less "free" as it required enhanced items. but some were worth very very little time and effort.

We’ve heard everyone loud and clear, so we’ll be introducing an upgraded version of the buff called the “Happy Black Spirit” buff this upcoming March 10, 2021 (Wed) maintenance."
