Hello dear developers,

 

1. When do you adress the issue of items in the game but not accessable for new players?

2. When do you adress the situation that gearcap is not working for the structures?

 

to 1)

you locked out people of that gear by removing it as a questreward but keeping them in the game,

players who have them have a big advantage over others, thats sounds very unfair to me.

most known are the chimera pupils for the 10% down attack, but there also kaia necklace, cultist rings etc.

either you make those items accessable again or you remove them completly

 

to 2)

Why do you make a gearcap when you dont make that work on structures?

 

People swap to full sheet ap-gear + monsterdamge items like kutum/blackstar and pop frenzy draughts because the gearcap

doesnt apply when you hit structures.

if you create content with the purpose of a gearcap then you need to make it work on every aspect of the fights and going for structures is a huge part of a nodewar.

furthermore it feels very questionable to me why monsterdamage even is working in a pvp enviroment

 

 

It saddens me everytime i get a discord message from especially new guilds and they ask me for example why they went out in under 5 minutes or lost every fight.

When then i explain to them how huge of an impact special attack modifiers have or the huge effect of sheet ap+monster damage has on the structure damage they

clearly are very unsatisfied and saddened aswell, because they want to start nodewar or get a foot into it and you designed it so badly that they cant even get items which others have and are set to a big disadvantage already.

 

 

That is not how you should design the content. 

There should be no items locked out for newcomers. There should not work gear above the gearcap.

You need to do better.

Way better.

Also you might want to look into caphras effected gear and your hidden stats. The same argument applies: There should be no effect after gearcap.

They did it like this so players would have to use any and all methods to push their gear higher. It's a Korean MMO. People don't come to these for equalized PvP. It's actually the opposite.

 

You'll have to go to the West if you want equalized PvP. Sorry but that's just the way it is.

Good post.  Contructive.  With some testing and thorough planning, T1 node wars could be great content for newer players, and with improvements could hvae those extended to T2+ and Siege.  It's on the Roadmap, they said they will improve Node Wars.  Let's hope they pull it off and don't hand us half-developed content that is quickly abandoned, like Garmoth RBF, Altar of Blood and Savage Rift.  +1

But here are the facts. 99% of Korean MMOs don't have equalized PvP. All the the popular Western MMO have equalized PvP or don't make it to where gear and dumb luck overcome skill and effort. I said nothing racist at all. I was just pointing out what most of the MMO community at large already know. ~Korean MMOs are know for the opposite of equalized PvP.~ That is a fact!

 

Again I'm not looking for a fight nor trying to bait like you are. If you want to discussion why my statement is wrong. You can open another thread about it. And I'll be more than happy to dicuss it with you in a civil manner.

Tera and Blade and Soul... to some degree are 2 of the 1000s of Korean MMOs that had equalized PvP in them. Both of which have less than 1ooo players playing. My point stands, and their is nothing racist about the truth. I can name off for about 20 mintues of all the Korean MMOs that I've played that had unequalized pay to advance, pay for convienice of wins, or flatout pay to win PvP. So yes your one example will more than likely count for less than 1% of the KMMOs that have released.

 

Honestly you are just provoking and slandering me just because you disagree with me. I'm fine if you disagree with me. But calling me a racist without provided anything to support such a claim should be a no no. Next time instead of baiting how about you make a statement about why I'm wrong.  It would be most conducive to a proper discussion.

I agree that the old quest items with % modifiers to down/special/back attack damage need to be fully removed from the game.  

  

If new players cannot get them, then they will ALWAYS be at a disadvantage in T1 nodewar. 

 

Just transform every currently existing chimera pupil eye, kaia necklace, etc, into a no-stat trash item with a vendor value. 

 

New players get really discouraged when you raise their hopes with "you don't need to grind forever to do T1 Nodewar, look your PEN Tuvala is at the gear cap!" only for you to then pull the rug out from under them and say "no lol unless you have fully caphrased boss gear and still hit stat caps while using ancient unobtainable quest items, you're not even close to gear cap for t1 and never ever will be."

Ok well I must apologize, then. You're right let's keep it civil. If I may explain my reaction -- when reading your name and the contents of your post, I knew who you are and instantly remembered all the stuff you said against bdo in the old forum. Stuff that doesn't actually push the game forward towards improvement, but posts that literally try to push people away from the game. Just read that racially/cuturally themed post of yours here. This is the new forum, and with PA at the helm, we need all hands on deck to push these devs to give us a SOLID product.

 

When it comes to this game's Pay to Win. Is it actually P2W if you don't actually win anything? In bdo, it more like "Pay-to-win-but-not-really-winning-but-it's-something-like-that". Some things you will mention, it's in my mind now so I'll type it out now.

 

You complain about being "PK'd by whales" all the time. You need to understand that someone paying more to progress faster than someone else, doesn't directly have an influence on another's gameplay, aside from the few times you may get PK'd -- but you just swap server GGEZ. No need to get butthurt, it's a sandboxy open world mmo, people will do what they will given the confines, but you have the tools to avoid it too, if you want to. Let the competitive peeps who pay a lot do it, not like you'll ever encounter them with your GS anyway. Again, just server swap. Karma keeps toxic PK in check to a pretty darn good degree on normal channels, despite it's flaws anyway, not like it's even all too common. This is what I've heard and read, and is true to my experience as well. We have the long awaited Outlaw System on the roadmap -- this should really push the game forward, something I talked about all the time on the old forum.

 

This game can be better. Key word, can, so let's make sure it does by being constructive. Critical is one thing, nothing-but-negative is another, please keep that in mind.

Those accessories being BiS for T1 node war is pretty busted though, I do like having them even if I don't use them. Not cool to new players if they can't acquire it. Didn't know monster damage affected structures either like the OP said lul devs? What is this? O_o
