This bug happens every time I try to fight him. I have restarted the quest 5 times and the same bug still happens. I can use number keys but no movement and attack buttons. Just let us skip all cutscenes omg, you're wasting everyone's time with this garbage. Nobody cares about this "story" and the cutscenes look like they're made by an intern.

I am going to assume it is because you are using a controller to play bdo. I found that I had to use keyboard and mouse for several of the story boss fights as I could not do anything aside from hit the quick slot combo keys. I also kept being told I could not skip the fight while trying to fight.
it was as poorly optimised for controller users as was the magnus quests during which after every loading screen I had to deselect use controller and then reselect use controller to move.
It is time for the bdo devs to look long and hard at the quality of their employees.

In many cases, swapping server helps to fix the issue of getting stuck in that cutscene, so I recommend you try that as well

I play on Keyboard and this shouldn't be a problem regardless of what input method you use. I agree, they need to restructure.
Forcing players to watch cutscenes is literally making my friends want to quit the game and then it even causes bugs half the time.

Thanks for the tip! 3 server swaps later the issue was still not fixed so I assume this is an entirely random bug, unrelated to server traffic. I don't get why we can't just skip every cutscene if it causes this many issues.

I somehow beat the boss by just mashing my number keys! Now I can't interact with NPCs anymore! GOOD LORD WHAT ARE THESE DEVS SMOKING!??!?!

Did you ever find a fix to this issue? I had this bug happen. had to exit the fighting scene. Now it keeps asking me for horse's blood to start the quest yet I don't have it. It was used for the first summon. How is this questline this old and this broken still? :/
Edit: nvm just figured out i had to talk to side npc to get the item again. Sorry to bump old post. It's wild these cut scenes are so broken while also being so forced still this late in the game though.
