You can't name a single downside for Witches
besides the blatantly obvious and complete broken and bottom tier PVP, but OTHER THAN THAT, other then the blantantly important and obvious, you can't name a single thing.
(If you can find some else.......... well that doesn't count either)

I feel worse for awaken witch than awaken wiz.Witch is one of the few classes with so little movement that even with my little movement I can still easilly get my grab off on them consistently.When I fight awaken witch I mostly just walk straight up to them through their spell and grab them.Without protected movement I sometimes get cc'd attempting it but rarely results in death.Any class with descent protected movement and a grab I can imagine how awful those fights look.
Even in larger scale battles I get grabs on them pretty easilly although because they know how easy it is they mostly stick to staying behind the team and just casting meteor.While everyone may hate them for it,their just doing all they can do with the limitations of the class.Doing anything else is suicide for awaken staffies since the nerf to PA.For succ on the other hand the nerf to PA didnt effect them much since they they have movement to disengage before dying and fg's which allows them to take no damage if positioned properly.

Awk Wiz/Witch:
Low no mobility- decently tanky Ok (Good luck tanking anything in NW as a stationary non-iframe class without at least 370 DP)
the biggest AOE area skills in the game all around them OK
The biggest AOE in the game that have CC on them-?????????
Full super armor protection on cast- longer cast times OK (on 2 awakened skills)
Biggest areas of AOE slows -????????? ( slows are. a problem doesn't only apply to mages) but there's no trade off for the range AOE for it. (on unprotected blizzard)
Strongest heal in the game-?????????? (I guess team utility but the heal is so good this honestly should be on shai or a future healing class not casters)
Meteor( High CC high AF damage)-.?????????????( given how often you can do this the damage is probably justified in some ways but given it can break someone's entire block and then continue to possibly almost kill them even at higher DP is just busted. A damage nerf is needed and the CC is simply broken on this skill given its range and size remove it!)
The issue with awakening isn't nessarily all it's trade offs there's a few questionable ones the biggest issue is the AOE size and that it's all around the casters because when you have multiple casters the AOE size just keeps growing and growing and when these skills also have CC on them it breaks the large scale balance because everyone is getting CCed by what is basically garenteed huge AOE CC
( this is why I have said in the past and I will say it again witchards need to lose a lot of thier CC in pvp only) [ there is a response to this that fixes this issue and also gives witch/wiz something they diserve in exchange keep reading]

All 3 red comments are the same (meteor) unless you're talking about voltaic on the first one which is the same as or smaller than Guardian skills. It's really not as big as you think. The only SA CC we have in awakening is voltaic which is a bound aka the worst CC in the game. Also awk witch only has 2 awakened protected CC's + 1 on bon. Voltaic has the worst CC in the game as a bound, and Gorr Roll is only an FG.
I mean all 3 protections are strong and weak if used properly or inproperly.
FG if used properly allows you to attack others while being immune to cc's and damage,if badly used leaves you exposed in the back.
SA is allows you to be immune to cc while attacking but still take the damage.
Iframe allows you to be immune to all damage and cc's including grab from every angle but cant be used while attacking.
On ranged skills I would definitely prefer having fg and melee skills usually SA and iframe on movement skills.

It's sad to see these people won't accept that grab essentially invalides all forms of protection. Pearl Abyss should make ALL cc's ignore all SA/FG/Block at melee range so they can get a taste of what it means.
