hi,
I used to play BDO from pc about a year ago.. everything was going perfectly nothing ever happened.
A week ago i decided to reinstall it unaware of what awaited me.
Every time I open the game and play for 5/10 minutes or maybe even an hour (after an indefinite period of time) the pc freezes completely forcing me to force the shutdown using the power button in the pc case or wait (sometimes) for an automatic restart of the pc.
I tried to look for some solutions (clear the cache, delete xcorona, update windows to version 11, update drivers, repair files of the game, reinstall the game, play on the lowest graphics and I even try to reset the pc to factory data) but nothing the game after an indefinite period of time causes my entire computer to crash/restart. I am really sorry for this since I really like the game, I hope someone can help me.
Thank you

Das Problem hatte ich am Mittwoch(13.07)auch.
War wie bei dir, alles versucht. Nur habe ich nicht nach 1 Jahr neu angefangen.
Habe rechner dann neu aufgesetzt. Alte dateien behalten.
Jetzt läuft alles wieder. Nur im spiel, die "gespeicherten daten"waren alle weg.
Komplette UI-tastenklicks,selbst die skills waren alle weg.
Also alle gespeichten einstellungen.
Vllt hilft dir auch nur neu aufsetzen vom pc!

There's a lot of factors here that could cause it.
1) Can you play other significantly CPU heavy video games?
2) Do you not get any error reports that pop up?
3) Make sure you're not running any other game that might be running anticheat
4) Check your computer temperatures to see if it's overheating
5) Double check your ram, had a guildie with the same issue. Turns out it was a ram problem
6) Try flushing and resetting your DNS

I'm not an expert by any means, but I've been around for a bit, dealt with annoying crashes, helped others fix annoying crashes/freezes etc. I hope one of these fixes the issue, and if not that you at least eventually find the solution.

Check the windows system logs. You will have a clue to what is causing the freezing.

It's not uncommon. Windows 11 is very buggy and difficult to work with. Don't use windows 11, go back to 10. 10 is the "upgrade".

Back on topic:

I'm also having crashing issues with windows 10, seen a few others have this issue. Unfortunately there isn't any specific log being created and event viewer isn't helpful. But what I've noticed is that it's related to BDO might be trying to access something in memory that either doesn't exist or exists but EAC blocks it and the computer throws a memory access violation.

This is assuming people don't have issues with the game files, failing drivers or hardware etc... You could run /sfc scannow in cmd prompt to fix this usually but this isn't the case. I think there's a more serious problem that needs to be investigated but unfortunately it's such an obscure issue. Some say that it may be related to keyboard or other software that might interfere, I noticed firefox likes to BSOD my computer a lot when I play BDO. Could it be because there's a memory leak in firefox? I don't know, I do know firefox does have memory leaks on some websites because that's the nature of poor javascript code.

There are so many variables so the more information that can be shared (that isn't personal) the better.

I've been having this same issue for the past few months. It was fine during the summer, but when I picked it back up in September/October, BDO would randomly crash my whole PC while I was looking in my storage. Doesn't matter what storage or time of day. It won't happen at a set time, either; I've had it crash 5 minutes into a session or several hours into another. I once had them back to back. But it's always while I'm accessing the storage. I'm running the standalone launcher and don't have the Steam version. I'm not sure what happened between June and October, but it scuffed the game.
