Well, since some time I've also problems with the BDO. Out of nowhere, I am getting crash during AFK training horse, or when I'm taking fly on my pega. I got many crashes during switch characters. Like, literally there is no point. I've very good PC, and I've problem only with the BDO, where I am playing low resolution most of the time.

I read, that it can be a problem about updating the drivers, like graphic card. And well, yes, it helped a bit, but I am keep crashing sometimes.

I think it can be also bad maintenence of the servers, where many people switching characters in the same time.

If someone has the same problem I recommend to start from update the drivers and then keep searching.

BDO's servers are not stable anymore as it was in the past as well.
It can be also caused by the antivirus, but since long time I used the same so.. idk. That's kinda weirdo.

At least I'm glad I am not the only one who has that problem. I heard many people still have same issue so..

Numerous black screens, tray crashes, and entire PC reboots.

Absolute trash Windows application.

It's not uncommon. Windows 11 is very buggy and difficult to work with. Don't use windows 11, go back to 10. 10 is the "upgrade".

Back on topic:

I'm also having crashing issues with windows 10, seen a few others have this issue. Unfortunately there isn't any specific log being created and event viewer isn't helpful. But what I've noticed is that it's related to BDO might be trying to access something in memory that either doesn't exist or exists but EAC blocks it and the computer throws a memory access violation.

This is assuming people don't have issues with the game files, failing drivers or hardware etc... You could run /sfc scannow in cmd prompt to fix this usually but this isn't the case. I think there's a more serious problem that needs to be investigated but unfortunately it's such an obscure issue. Some say that it may be related to keyboard or other software that might interfere, I noticed firefox likes to BSOD my computer a lot when I play BDO. Could it be because there's a memory leak in firefox? I don't know, I do know firefox does have memory leaks on some websites because that's the nature of poor javascript code.

There are so many variables so the more information that can be shared (that isn't personal) the better.

This is not true and, if you have an Intel CPU with P-Cores and E-Cores (that would mostly include all i7 and i9 CPU of the 12th generation or newer) you actually want to use Win11 due to the fact that its CPU scheduler knows how to distinguish those different kinds of cores, sadly they did not update Win10's CPU Scheduler to account for those and probably do not have any intention to do so since they want to phase it out and have people switch to 11 anyways. Luckily you can still use some tweaks to make Win11 a pleasent experience and use a local account.

I can also attest to the fact that BDO does not have any issues running on Win11, infact it runs a bit better in my experience

Anyone reading this that is still having random crashing and restarting issues, give this a try:

1) reboot into BIOS

2) select optimization tab

3) select GAME MODE

4) go to advanced settings

5) disable PC virtualization

6) save settings on the way out and reboot
