First of all, i will be honest and say that i am really not a fan of sea ... but, i want to adventure in sea for a change. I got big ships to sail but never used them because not really a fan of big ships. I heard of Epheria Cog and i once used it... i straight up fell in love with that small beast! (boat). Was very fast, fit in screen and i enjoyed sailing cause it became so much fun but sadly... my cog didn't make it cause couldn't restock lifestocks. WHAT KIND OF BOAT IS THIS! USE ONCE AND THROW? _ Please, gives us a small and fast boat; boat that is faster then Epheria Cog and can be liferestocked (repairable)!  _ _ Concept Art _ _ My thought on above mentioned designs| 1 cannon on front or on Top!

What good will the 1 cannon do?  Bartali sailboat and Epheria sailboat have 1 cannon (manually operated) and basically the only thing they're good for is shooting the pirate tents on the islands.  The upgraded sailboat, Caravel, has 2 cannons per side, and it still takes multiple hits to kill a hungry hekaru.

just in case if i wanna do sea monster hunting, Vell! and another reason is cause it will look cool :)

Are cannon balls in BDO made of plastic ball? kinda nonsense that we can't upgrade a cannon ball

Fast boats need to be light. Cannons and cannonballs are heavy.

Frigate with totem slot for fishing and a couple cannons? Sign me up!

Why not make the row boat fast; it has no offense so could fill the niche of getting around swiftly enough from A to B.
Why not make the fishing boat fast, and give it fishing boons when on it (e.g. +10% chance to chat/harpoon rare & prized fish) it is a fishing boat after all. Give it a niche so if someone wants to go fishing or harpooning, that is the boat best for it.
Why not focus and release the sea trading update like you mentioned and give us a sea trade appropriate boat, so if we want to lug our crafted crates from Grana/Valencia to Moodle Village or somewhere, that is the best boat for us.

PA, you have some kind of ties to CCP, EVE Online, these days, yes? Have a look at their game (it's basically boats in space); they've done a wonderful job of giving almost every ship a useful niche. Apply some of those basic principles to your game.

2 cannon abit too much no? a small but strong cannon seems very good. Since guns are basically a small hand-held cannon! OwO

If i hand an option, i would definitly make a spike cannon ball or a cone shaped cannon-ball(coned)
