Today we are going to enter into more controversial terrain. What crossed PearlAbys' mind when he decided to include the shai within the AOS? 
why is that class allowed to enter the AOS? or even because he is allowed to give such buff in AOS? Do you know how absurd it becomes to fight against 3 people and that in the opposing team they have a shai? we are talking about equalized PVP now add the buff of the shai. bone a child of 1 year would know the difference and the consequences that would bring It is the tenth game today and 7 times I have touched against a shai making it impossible for me to climb rank because we all lose them and with an OVERWHELMING DIFFERENCE OF DMG.  we are talking that a muse with Shai Buff can kill 3 people in AOS without difficulty. we are not going to talk about the infinity of CC that the shai does in AOS. today we will only talk about the imbalance that parasitizes class within AOS. the only fun that PA gives us and ruins it once again.

Really, the more I look for the more problems I find within this game.


PD: My intention is not to criticize everything they do. But what really happens to them lately? Everything they have been doing very badly lately. It seems that they did not take the time to analyze their own game. it seems that they are only dedicated to listening to the Korean public believing that they are the real problems facing the game when 90% of its income comes from NA. It's incredible but true

That part right there, not true at all.

Of course it is true. When the company was in Korea it was billing just enough to maintain the servers. after he arrived in NA the company showed a net growth of 900% in just 2 years. after that they decided to take control of all JP, NA, SA, UK servers among others. Where do you think the money came from? most of them come from NA since here users spend a lot of money on pearls. Competitive pvp is a joke. We are playing bdo here. Nobody cares about their half assed attempts to make it an esport. They have been trying this for a long time now. 

Shai are decent but they are not the "Best of the best" if they were they would be the #1 slot of all the ranks, they are not sorry.

No one disputes that. Here the problem is that you are taking a class that takes away all your dp which in AOS is very low and gives all the AP to its allies. So if you take that to a supposedly competitive and evenly matched RRP. That becomes a massacre instead of a decent RRP. we are talking that a single person can kill you of 3 skill on the floor and look that doing that within AOS is extremely difficult. Apart from that we have to fight worrying about the endless CCs of the Shai which is not so serious. Avoiding it is part of a good RRP. but the buff if you can't do anything with it

Just the thought of competitive PvP in a video game that don't really make money from competitive PvP is a joke. It's even more so a joke when you figure out the game in question is indirectly selling PvP power to those who spend insane amounts of money. In other words, never fall to the folly of taking PvP serious in a video game that don't fully monetize nor support fair and competitive PvP.

Majority wants a combat system where you can Watch Netflix and spam the same buttons.

Thats why we have Superarmor Combos.

Of course the PvP will be affected by that and become half-braindead Rock Paper Scissors thing.

The game started with a different goal however. Its destiny is to become a Mobile App.

For now we enjoy what we can from it and for as long as it lasts because it feels there isn't much hope even if its highly possible and still time to change its destiny.

Make every class have defensive evasive actions that require you do use them.

Make Grabs apply only on stunned targets you can stun with attacking/ counterattacking actions, like you recieve a hit parry or avoid and use the momentum to get a stun then grab.

Make the classes have ways to defend/ avoid CCs.

Make evasion dr non passive but action dependant.

Make speed/ movement abilities require resource usage. As fast or as slow to keep the game speed good.

After that you can safely remove V Escape, I-Frames and Superarmor in PvP. Voila.

So you really have no idea how games work then eh?

Why are you even wasting your time advocating for these changes when it would require a total teardown of the game and millions of dollars.

BDO will not ever in its lifetime drastically change how pvp works. grabs and super armor aernt going anywhere. This game is almost a decade old. Its highly likely that the people that devised these systems and coded them into the game are long long gone.

Balance changes are pretty much always going to be limited to changes in values. More or less damage. more or less cooldown. add protection to something, or change it to have cc or stuff like that. Things that a mediumweight dev can do just by altering values.
