I am a new player in black desert, I like the game but I have noticed that the market is deficient.
the prices are restricted by the game and the purchase of the item is rng. which makes the market practically dead and useless Removing the item restriction would motivate players to farm for economy, more trade in in-game items and pearl market items.
if someone wants to sell/buy a rock in 1b, you should allow it.
the market should be manage only by the players, not by the game. for example, in the game albion online the players manage the economy and the market, the prices regulate themselves due to supply/demand

And that's how even new players would have to pay 1b for a rock.

Jokes aside, a market without control in a Mmorpg often ends up with excessive prices, that's what happens when some items are literally popping out of some mobs' asses and players may have too much money to really care about the price.

I mean, in real life, nothing is created out of thin air, at least you need a brain to create a service; but in BDO you can even get some high value items without an matching effort, for example you can get a Garmoth heart by hitting Garmoth once.

That's why the concept of supply/demand can't work on Mmorpg with items generated from nothing, items like this only have a "perceived" value, but no "creation" cost to relate.

but many games (including other asian games) have unrestricted market and it works...
In the hypothetical case that the items have excessive prices, at least in the market there will be items to buy, unlike now that there is practically nothing for sale.
If most of the players have a lot of money, then the base prices will be high, you would have to get a lot of silver to buy that item, but at least you would have the option.
As I said, the game would be regulated by supply and demand.

In the case of a new player just starting out, they always have to farm and sell in order to get silver.

If the things they are farming are the base items, that rich people don't have time for, they get rich too. They sell those rocks for 1 million and then they have their money very quickly.

What it would do honestly, is make gathering and lifeskilling comparable to grinding. But heaven forbid that anything compete with the silver per hour of grinding...

It's the same concept as the season servers being a catch up mechanic for the new players.

Unrestricted market may cause inflation, but it also balances itself out. And our prices are already extremely inflated as they are.

They simply give out more free stuff, more silver to compensate.

At this late date, going to an unrestricted market would have some bumps and learning curves, but it would regulate and even out fairly quickly.

So while I support and unregulated market, you're always going to need a small measure of regulation. A completely unregulated market is subject to manipulation by those with extreme funds. This is true in real life as well. You can clean the market out of an item to drive the demand up, hoarding the supply, you can offload large supply to drive demand down and the price and then start the cycle over of hoarding to increase demand for the price goes up and then offloading driving the price back down and capitalizing on the high price until it goes down.

So I totally understand why they regulate the market, but they could increase the range between the Caps significantly to give you illusion of player control of supply and demand, rather than always be sitting at the top or bottom of a cap like we are now on almost every item.

There's no easy answer. All we can all do is give our own opinions and suggestions on how to make it work within the system.

There is no game with player trade in that is not littered with RMT. BDO is the only mmo where RMT is not a chronic problem.

So no, BDO economy has its flaws but player trade in is not needed and for sure we do not need bots in this game. Other games can have them.

I did a test with a friend.
I placed a buy order at a price that no one else had offered. my friend sold the items at the price I had set, the game chose to give the items to another player
