I don't know. I think it might me like a "test" for PA. The fact that it came out in KR already makes them see how it works now.

If it's successful, they will probably implement it here too.

Of course you're right, KR and EU/NA are really working differently though. But they are still KR devs with KR vision of the game and of the rules.

Generally, everything they apply there, they apply it everywhere.

You are 100% correct it is KR Devs with KR Vision.

The flip side is this, Numbers. How do we as NA/EU represent in the amount of Decs per day, week, month, quarter.

From what I understood is the amount of decs in KR out paced both NA/EU combined vs player base.

Like I was saying one caviot of this whole thing, J's letter has NOT been translated and posted here on our servers.

Going by the fact that  majority of the player base in KR uses Cafés or computer gaming centers to play BDO. Time over there has limits per player. (Especially younger players can only play for x amount of time per 24 hours the government literally shuts em down. Kids that are not responsible bad grades, actually get there time locked out completely.)

Constant Decs and time limits on game play will in effect lessen the amount time that a player can grind substantially effecting progression and rhere for fun. This system there makes sense Especially with the amount of new players.

Again his letter has not been translated and posted on our servers which makes this a much higher likelihood that this is a KR only Patch.

Again he apologized to Korean players, that apology is usually translated and a few days later we get the same message. KR though it may be Black Desert Online and we have the same core mechanics KR itself is a stand alone game.

Again just so your aware there are very real difference between NA and KR not just in Rules but NPCs as well as items. I.e. Cafe vendors.

The reality however is this may have been directed at KR players directly and was not ment for any of us what so ever. A real good example is as stated the amount of war Decs and things that were done to control that issue.

I know you guys desperately want this but be realistic about expectations, in reality NA/EU is completely different than KR ESPECIALLY as it relates to Social life in KR things that are going on there is simply not acceptable in there culture.

Well then.  If true we will pester them until we get it here.  Toxicity is bad here, your sample size of one comment nonwithstanding

Yes, I must say I was surprised not to see it in the patch yet.

BUT it's been implemented too recently in Korea to expect it here so early. Told you, that's a test, it's really the begining of those rules.

The absence of the letter surprised me like you, but I prefer to wait next week to see if we hear about it maybe.

It's full fog until then...

@ReconKangas:

You might be right, for the moment at least. These modifications are not even brought up in the next patch, dixit Black Desert Foundry.

Now, the KR devs took the decision and applied it instantly, like a surprise. So we might be surprised aswell...

But since those changes already took place in Korea, it would not be surprising at all and they had time to consider it for NA/EU if it was their intent.

I think we won't have it soon. Perhaps never.

I don't care since the actuel game is fine by me.

I used to think that some frame was necessary, but not anymore. With all those Marnis which many are so happy about, with the faster mob respawn and the switch time between servers being shorter, I see no reason why we couldn't all farm everywhere and enjoy it.

As I have stated I am completely on the fence over this issue.

That said KR has litterally quadruple there numbers forcing all servers to be crowded. As of yet we don't have that issue or do I think we will. (  I wish we did.)

As the previous conversations KR is independent from the rest of the world do we EVENTUALLY get the same content? Yup but in regards to this one I have a feeling this is a stand alone rule change specifically for the current issue in KR.

Over crowded grind spots in NA is a non ISSUE, we may still get it but as far as I am concerned any change that retains the player base and new players i am all for.

If we don't see this by next week's maintenance chances dwindle.

Ok, pro DFS , anti Marni realm, feels dead, dont want people at my spot, the spot is me,me,me

i want interaction but dont like them near me, etc.

You people should think about what you talking.

Marni realm is a solution to keep people in game because of the behavior of others.

There will be no need for it if .....

... If players stop ksing others? Yeah, totally!

I love this change. People grind to make money not PVP. You have so many other areas in the game to PVP now and of you are into ganking Arsha has always been there.

You gonna attack me while I'm grinding and you don't outclear me and I also can kill you back after reviving? expect  to go red because I'm not leaving and will use what's in my inventory to stay there :p

I don't flag while I'm grinding because plain and simple I'm there to make money or I'm trying to obtain some item I'm not there to PVP.

When I want PVP I queue up into solare or RBF, or attend a node war or hop in battle arena.

Forced PVP drives people away from even trying this game. And I also want to note very rare does PVP appear or happen while I grind and even now you can be in a guild that's impossible to declare war on. This change just makes it so smaller pvp newer guilds can't just be bullied by some behemoth guild. Both must agree so good changes all around.

Forced PVP is stupid and the industry has realized that. end of discussion.

Games cant be for everyone. I wish the game were more popular too, but not at the expense of the experience.

Saying forced pvp keeps people from playing the game is like saying all the dairy is keeping lactose intolerant people away from coldstone creamery.

Its true, but people are coming there for the ice cream. If you dont like icecream maybe this just isnt the game for you.

Good change.  Knew it was going to happen eventually.

Been doing a lot of reading on KR forums from what I understand.

The Ban wave that happened in KR was actually people that were taking off gear to force players to go Red.

Then puting gear back on to kill them and lose gems.

This patch from what I understand is in fact a KR only Patch they have no intention as of now to bring it to NA/EU.
