every stick has two ends, stronger players throw weaker players out of the grinding places, red players kill the horse riders as soon as they cross the safe area a bit, my Shai was killed several times from behind when weeding, it's her own fault, it's a pvp game and she just had the honor of meeting the brave red player

This is a part of the experience that I think people really misunderstand.

Yes, when you are new sometimes you're going to encounter stringer players and if you try to contest them you are at the subject of their will. Maybe they will leave you in peace, maybe they kill you and move on. When you are small you shouldnt be thinking of how can i brute force what I want. You should be aligning your thinking with 'how can i become strong while avoiding players bigger than me. and in this game we all love I assure you there are ways to make decent money without having that gorilla at red orcs 1 shot you.

What is so great is that even though you are weak now, there is the unspoken promise that when you ger strong, you too can use your strength to dictate the world what you want. Maybe youll be a tyrant too and push people down. Maybe you decide you want to use your strength to protect weaker players so they could grow in areas where you never could. You get to choose once you're stronger.

Thats why I hate these changes so much. Even though it protects players that are powerless now, the changes effectively ansure that they will be powerless forever. The choice they could have made tomorrow is sold off to pay for the convienience of today.

With the new changes to decs and karma, how are you supposed to defend your spot from karmabombers ?

There's plenty of spots I can take off several armor pieces and not be at risk from the mobs and just grind right over you, and if you kill me you're suddenly turning red WAY faster than expected since I'm half naked.

How are people with literally 0 experience in PvP supposed to defend their spot? Universally, I had the following experience: A player comes with his pocket ninja and asks for DFS. I tell him that I have 0 experience in PvP and agreeing to DFS essentially means anyone can come anytime and just take any spot from me. How is this fair? If I refuse and continue grinding, the person just grinds over me or tries to feed me to the mobs, since I did not "honor" his "extremely generous" offer. When this person tries to do this for 15 minutes, I just say fk it and karma bomb him. Do you have any other solution for me? Tell me, what should we non-PvPers do, should we just go cry in the corrner and die if we want to grind more than 1 hour in Marni? Obviously...

Most people in this thread just state that they do not like the changes, but they do not propose any alternative solution for people who do not PvP at all. Thus, these changes are the improvement we will get, and I am glad for this. Of course you do not like the changes, since until now you could just slap non-PvPers around and always get what you want, until their patience ran out and they karmabombed you (and then you cry about this, after you harrassed the person for long enough). Those who do not PvP have karmabombing as the ONLY defense. Newer players who no not even know how to karmabomb someone and do not PvP just get slapped around freely, since players on alts in low AP zones can kill them on sight with minor repercussions.

So let me reiterate your question: How are we supposed to defend our spot from YOU?

Ah, we are NOT supposed to, riiight...

by dueling for it? or deccing the guild to war for it? :)

i get your point, i play shit 1v1 class everyone gets hardon for when they see it on grind spot, but basically you are asking for a freebie because you arent capable for fighting for it.

personally i think proposed  karma changes are ok, i think war deccing should stay as it is NOW on live, and maybe marni should have 2-3 hours total uninterrupted time for people just wanting to grind some in peace in suboptimal spots.

How do you hold your spot as a player that hates pvp. It's a good question I suppose. I'll say that if you are going to intentionally limit yourself and not use some of the options available (learning to pvp a little bit.) Probably you should expect to swap channels and look for open spots more. Or maybe think about farming spots that aernt as popular. Yea, you might make a little less, but youll have more peace. You could pursue moneymaking strats like lifeskilling where you basically dont have to encounter other players. You should always hold your marni hour until someone actually comes to interrupt you rather than blowing it right away.

say you're farming orcs. a gorilla appears and asks you to DFS. You agree and try to bomb the dude. Probably you die, but theres the chance he does something dumb and you kill him. If not you swap to a different channel, Maybe the rotation is open on a different spot. No? Theres another person here. Ask them for a DFS. Maybe you win or maybe not. If not then you use your marni hour.

This might be shocking to hear but there are a *lot* of areas in the game where people are making a bil or more per hour. Its not just 1 or 2.

if the spot you are at is very congested consider exploring around.

In the future where one sided decs cannot happen, that guy grinds over you faster than you can clear and you're off the spot anyway - but now you can't call guildmates hungry for PvP to help defend you. You have no agency as a player to fight over a spot, and the player with more time to waste wins through wasting everyone's time longer than they can stand it.

You're left with the same outcome of you not being able to grind in that spot, but instead of only affecting shy players who run from PvP, it affects everyone and there is no recourse.

Whether or not you personally want to PvP in the open world, these types of interactions bring value to a good guild and good friends who CAN PvP well and drives new friendships and interactions as a result.

Go Arsha

Keep running into me as I grind. I love grinding for 3 hours to have someone run into my roto and grief me and my only solution is to get karma bombed or hop. I had a roto and then you bombed me isn't that griefing in itself? Why should I leave because you repeatedly die to me after defending my spot? People abuse the karma system and you want to defend it?

I scrupulously avoid others' rotation, so it won't be me.  Why should I leave if I am minding my own business and in a location first.

So we agree? Why are you saying go arsha then?
