Marni Realm is a bad idea.

This game has and always will be a solo focused experience. Very little has been done to ever foster groups and when it has like Turos, that was almost universally hated (although the stupid ranged mobs can be half to blame there). I don't see any issue with Marni realm extension so long as it's reasonable and I don't think 1 hour on one hour off is reasonable. Only 1 hour a day is dumb and I personally think a reasonable number is more like 3. Hell a lot of people, myself included, don't even use Marni Realm for any grind zone because a lot of the times it's either not optimized well or it's not the spot I prefer.

They would have to fundamentally change a lot of the game for this game to feel anything more than a solo circle running simulator. I love the idea though of the spot scaling to a group but I don't see how they could possibly do that in a game like this unless they designed some group instanced grind zones or more places like Murrowak (which I freakn loved).

My suggested solution to this problem is to take the Lantern idea and significantly expand it. Add an item you feed resources to to turn any one spot, like in a radius around the object, or pack into an infinitely respawning, buffed up pack with increased numbers, balanced around a group of 3-5 players. The radius could be 50 meters, or whatever unit bdo uses ingame, radius around where it was activated and enrage every pack in the radius to target party members. The resources could be any type of Blackstone with higher value ones being worth more. It could provide a sink for the mass of black magic that are typically unsellable.

Heck, if the logistics of creating such an item to be used from a character is too complicated, it could be a world object you interact with and feed resources to, with several such scattered around most grind zones.

No lantern, at least not one that fills up.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the tower mechanic of Stars End, or room mechanic or Miruwak Caverns, or the small rotations like Mirumok Trees and Jade Forest.

I also like to mix things up and have race track grind spots where you run around in a circle, maybe zig zag back and forth with a really fast class.

They should do what they did with Stars End, Traitor's Grave, Crescents, and Thornwood Forest.  Add secondary spots same mobs, but they spawn in never ending waves.

Basically add a second spot to all grind spots with a tower mechanic, at those towers the mobs there adjust to the number of people there.  The faster you kill, the faster they spawn, if you are 1 hitting them they will start to become beefier.  Basically a truely dynamic spot.  They had it kinda Alter of Blood, but you couldn't repeat it more than once a week so no one did it because you had to find a party, it also did not dynamically alter based on the number of players in the area and it was short.

I don't want areas where you are in the racetrack grinding, but then ohhh Giga Chat 740 wants to grind so he plops down his lantern and now your race track has a massive roadblock parked in the center of it.
