The intent is ultimately meaningless.  If someone wants to flex or go around pking because they enjoy it, then the intent doesn't matter at all.  Remember it's a PVP game?

In fact according to Pearl Abyss you are supposed to SUPRESS your opponents and destroy their ability to progress in the game.  This is done as part of the COMPEITITVE game environement where stiffling your opponents is INTENDED.

That's WHY you could DESTROY TRADE ITEMS from other adventures.  You where SUPPOSED to view them as your ENEMY/OPPONENT and make them suffer loses so they would not gain ground and over power YOU.

You are supposed to destroy your opponents, survival of the FITTEST.

This is the SAME system and reasoning Ashes of Creation is trying to create.  In addition, since that is the case, stiffling, hindering, or supressing opponents by ANY means is intended game play.  If you can lock them out of an area, disrupt their life skills, etc you are following the original design AND INTENT of the game.

Pearl Abyss can't even figure out their own game intent is actually in conflict with their own TOS because what they think they want is so highly toxic it's unplayable for many players.  And that then conflicts with the TOS which has an objective of making money and thus not driving away customers.  Thus Pearl Abyss has a conflict of interest with itself.

You asked what I found wrong with his post, and I told you - Everything.  Count pretty much every other post VORTEXII writes too.  IDC what his intentions are --- He's LITEARLLY saying intentions don't matter a few posts above this one.  Different topic., but what --- intent don't matter, but when it applies to him it does??

My guess is you guys have enormous egos.  BDO is a tough game, I get it.  Progress is long and arduous and PK-ers can get in the way of that.  You guys simply CANNOT progress at a respectable rate in this game without excessive P2W, or get your asses handed to you on such a frequent basis, that your ego isn't stroked and coddled as much as it is in Western MMO's, where the game sets you on a path and you just follow it, like WoW of GW2.  Or have a plethora of "fair" or "non-gear-gapped" stuff.  It's fine if you like it, but please do us all a favor and play those games and go to those forums.  IDK about ESO.  ESO looks like crap, that's all I know about that game.  BDO 'aint perfect, but IMO, still BEST MMORPG in the market today and it's only going to get better.  Haso is gonna be SIIIICK, trust.

None of this is true, your opinion is based entirely around toxic behavior commonly found in western players. This type of behavior is relatively uncommon in KR. Which is why the system is the designed the way it is.

You need to up your game a bit.  Here is a homework assignment for you.  Learn the following terms

PeaceInChaos feels the accurate description of the game's functionality and design is "Slandering BDO".  He is also in complete denial of how the systems work and why they where designed.  It's no secret, it's advertised and in the very functionality of the game.

PeaceInChaos isn't willing to cope with the reality of the game.  Look at the trade system.  All these people supporting PVP like to go back to the original foundation.  So lets do exactly that.

The trade system was designed to be dangerous.  From NPC and other players.  Other players could DESTROY YOUR GOODS.  Now lets THINK about this.  I know it's not for everyone.  Some of these people on the forums despise thinking, but lets THINK about it.

WHY would Pearl Abyss design a system in which you CAN and are ENCOURAGED to DESTROY others revenue?

It said that in their PROMOTION.  It said that in the very design and FABRIC OF THE GAME.  It says that in the MECHANICS OF THE GAME.  ALL FACTS.

Many of the posts simply explain how the system function.  People like PeaceInChaos find this to be "Slandering BDO" because they see the description as harsh and slandering.  Meanwhile, it's a simple analysis of the system.

So what PeaceInChaos is actually saying, is that he finds Pearl Abyss's systems and design to be horrendious, slanderous, and toxic.

The concept that you are stiffling your opponents progression is merely a concept used in the game.  It's really more of just a fact of the way the system works.  In fact it's the only reason for the system.

Killing another player to destroy their trade goods is the foundation of the original game.  However, that's also because Pearl Abyss is incompetent and lacking knowledge.  They had to be beaten down enough to change their game rules and start implementing more friendly systems because their player base was diminishing.

Pearl Abyss was essentially forced to remove exp loss upon PK.  Because THAT DESIGN IS A FAILURE.  And we also know it's a failure because that is the very REASON it was REMOVED.

It was about as much of a failure as these forums ;)
